Old card game was awesome. Didn't he ever hear of "if it's not broken don't fix it?" I can already predict a shitty card game that will be more pain then fun and hordes of fans crying "why S-E, WHY???! you had a perfectly good card game and we all asked for it dammit!!"

I'm not arguing for or against either, just repeating what I read. I do have confidence that SE can come up with a good card game though.

Let's hope but i have doubts that it will be as good. The old game was very simple which why it's so fun. It makes for fun and quick mini games.

For some reason i see them coming up with something way too complicated, a la magic TCG and it would turn quick fun games into 1h long overly complicated games or something that will feel like crafting does now...

While a card game would be awesome, and I recall Yoshi asking for idea's fora card game, Triple Triad wouldn't work for this game. It is great fun playing against a computer, but when every person you play against has 4 cards that read A 9 9 7, it soon becomes a game of Tic-Tac-Toe cat scratch. I'd love to see a card game with a lot of variation though. . . . . . MTG FFXIV Edition Go!

When it comes to character cards.... NPCs only?

Perhaps a special quest to make one of yourself and it has to be upgraded? Limit one 'A' at max card level?

Hopefully someone cool will ask about a Triple Triad/Tetra Master-like game for FFXIV in the next "Ask the Devs".

every time i see this thread get bumped i get happier. SE.. listen. come closer. hey listen. if you put a GOOD card game... in this game (not some half assed parley knock off). you will have a lifetime of my devotion, you have my word. make it so.

Every time I see Parley I can't help but shake my head and wonder what the fuck they were thinking...

Parley needs a revamp!
Heck even call it parley so you don't need to change the lore, but make it a new game. Make it so you can parley any NPC in the game, people would be travel all over the world to talk to those hard to find NPCs

I've gotta admit. Having a card game like this in game would solve a lot of my down time waiting around for a party.
