You're not arguing for fairness, you're arguing against fairness. Fairness would be telling new player that they can achieve the same rewards a veteran of 4 years has, by playing for 4 years. It's patently unfair to hand out those loyalty rewards like candy because people don't want to wait or prove their loyalty via a long subscription.

As for this idea about catching up, new players can achieve the current rewards by subbing long enough to earn them. By then, loyal customers will have other, newer rewards that players more recent to the game will in turn earn when they've subscribed as long. The reason it's unfair is if they keep giving new and special rewards throughout the whole lifespan of the game, eventually it will deter new players because you simply cannot subscribe for a decade for rewards when the game is already a decade in and might only live 5 more years.

This is why changing to an existing token like chocobo feathers would be great, if you have no friends but a long sub, you get gold chocobo feathers and can get twintania and cash shop dyes, win/win

I disagree. To me it sounds like people crying because they can't instantly have what others have. There is an important life lesson that we all should have learned by now. "You can't have everything you want." If someone wants the latest loyalty reward, let them show the same commitment that I or others have shown first, thenthey can have the reward fair and square.

ya agreed with you, we not only loyalty but we also the players who build and contribute to the ffxiv community too, by helping new players etc, even low season we still paid sub and online all along to help new adventurers..
we veteran deserve the right to get it. we dont even think how long the game will live, BUT WE BELIEVE FFXIV WILL LIVE AND GO ON FOREVER... XD

anyways it is REWARD system, it happen to any membership / club for loyalty member, just get over it... it is fair~ yeh gogogo SE for more veteran rewards~

An issue on the Character Selection screen wherein the display for "Veteran Reward Rank" and "Days Until Next Rank" incorrectly calculated the number of days required for rank 14 to be 1200 days instead of 1440 days.
* Rank 14 is the final rank for veteran rewards.

Usually known bugs are at the bottom of the patch notes. Alternately, you can take the quote and press "ctrl f" on the patch notes to take you directly to the exact sentence.
