i hope see blue mage be the next tank class
let them have duel scimatars.
i love see bst be more dps job pet job with complex pet job system
Beast Master victory emotion should a wolf how
But when I say a Staff I don't mean like how a BLM or WHM use it. I mean like don't know if anyone has ever seen the cartoon Dangeon and Dragons? Diana was a gymnast and her weapon was a staff she would actually attack with it doing different type of moves not just striking some one on the head with it lol.
A whip does sound like a better choice to me if they decide to not let the pet be the sole source of damage. Personally I'd prefer a whistle or something that (deaf to our ears) instructs them to perform the skills we have unlocked or even cross-classed.
I had an idea what if we could transform into the mob?
I love Beastmaster, but only if they are able to make a real working petsystem. FFXIV version of summoner is more like affliction Warlock from WoW then the Summoner that we know and love. I want see this with the Beastmaster:
- Pet and Master bond, gameplay wise a dead pet should mean bad things for the Beastmaster.
- Allow the Beastmasters to tame their own pets. If someone wants to tame a Aldgoat, let them and if someone rather have that tiger from Hullbreak HM, they should have it. I want to see different Beastmasters with different pets.
- Allow the Beastmaster to collect them all. Add a Pet Log and let them collect it.
- There should be more synergy between master and pet. Let them do combos toghter.
Ever since I saw the first mammet with ARR's launch I've wanted a Puppetmaster type job (Mammet Master?). They basically have all of the assets needed for the different mammets at this point.
Heck, they could make a Minion Master job who could summon a pet with a minion's skin. Different abilities and such based on the minion type that they've already fleshed out a bit for Lord of Verminion.
I totally agree with the desire for a "true" pet job, rather then the pet being little more then a glorified buff/DoT.
yes i do agree with you Mora. that pet job must be a true pet jobs
Bumping this thread to keep it alive loool bumb, bumb, bumb lol this moment of time can't think of anything new. I still think being able to transform into the mob would be cool. Like Beast Boy from Teen Titans lol.
But the transformation would have a time limit.
Bumbing this thread again just to keep it alive lol. Feel free to add more ideas.

Disciples of War-
The Beastmaster is hunter that fights with a crossbow gun and defends himself with a knife at close range. He shots paralysing darts and bowgun bolts. When hes out of bolts he throws rocks and boomerangs too. Until, he can reload. He an quest and trap monsters but makes a bond with a baby tiger that can fight with you and level up. When mature he can be mounted and taxi friends too. Beast are all over the world, can you catch them all?
Disciples of Magic-
The Minion Trainer collects minions and teaches them to fight monsters. Minions have hidden powers! You can learn from collecting! And use the skills to power up your fighters blue magics! Various modes and magics! I also think that there should be some sort of Evolution like pokemon at least allow the minion to wear armor. and the tiger :)
So, just because you probably don't want this thread locked, this forum has a specific rule against "bumping for the sake of bumping". It's a bad idea to have a rule like this for several reasons which is why you probably thought it was ok (it's ok most forums) but hey, that's how it is here.
this time it isn't me make beastmaster job thread
haha
but i all for add beast master job use a whip as weapon of choice
be able tame and keep pets. the baby animals might interest remind me alittle of star wars galaxies
I am most excited about being able to fight as a team with tiger, using a crossbow as a main weapon and other hunting tools like paralyzing nets and whips.
hunter war class
Edit:
It seems like the old idea of charming a monster with a flute could work on its own as a Beast Lord. The to beast mastery is a simply one, One a hunter and one a charmer and another a Minion master. What am thinking is that you can technically make a blue mage out of minions o I'm thinking that if you summon a minion and fight alongside it and have it learn moves from other monsters like a puppet master.
I understand what you mean by true pet class, and the thought of BST is a good thought. I dont know how it would work in FFXIV though. It was a really fun job in XI because the open world was so deadly to the lone adventurer, and beastmaster could essentially use those powerful mobs in the zones to fight for him and thereby level entirely by himself. One of the weakest parts of FFXIV is the complete lack of overworld content. The mobs are easily soloable by any class. Beastmaster would have to be a dps I would think, and it would have to be able to fight in duties, so its pets couldnt come from charming mobs. The BST would have to summon his pets as an ability. Im sure you could make the job work some how, but it wouldnt be the BST we remember from FFXI. Im all for a true pet class though...I love pet classes. Its not really in the Final Fantasy lore but id love to see a necromancer type job, that throws hordes of weak minions at mobs. Imagine a mage in ffxiv that could summon an army of 8 sekeletons and throw them at mobs, or a giant gargantuan ala diablo 3. Some type of class that commands multiple pets as his primary means of attack.
Moved to New Jobs for FF:14
Necromancer a thought charmer from hell. He can fight with a Scythe. And use shadow magics to control hordes.
The Hunter shoots the crossbow gun and wields young tiger pet that grows. Can fight on mounts. Beast master.
Guys please post your comments in the new thread to do with new job ideas here is the link : http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...67#post3829267
Forum moderators can you please delete this thread.
I would have to agree with wanting this.. When thinking about a new job, you've gotta take into account the current battle system. That's why people who are hyped about Red MAge need to dail it back just a little bit because RDM being "Jack of all Trades, Master of none" Won't work to well unless they multi roll it or make a XIV exclusive version that no one knows (techincally RDM abilities are already in the game like Enfire [sword magic]). However BST is one of those jobs I feel would fit right in with very little changes to the overall job & the process of taming a monster in the wild could possibly be a game onto itself if they do it right.
