Is it WRONG to pick up girls in a dungeon? ^_^

Its not wrong as long as you protect them, if the girl is a tank run ahead of them, aggro enemies and keep the aggro so she wont get hurt

I remember once, while I was doing the trial roulette, a guy started to praise someone's character (in a very... Poetic way), then asked the "girl" if she was single and up to date someone...

That "girl" mentioned being a guy irl.

For someone that talked a lot (literally during the whole trial), he shut up pretty quickly and run out of the duty immediately after it was completed.

It might not be wrong to pick up girls in dungeons, but it's always creepy when your running a dungeon with your partner and someone is trying to pick them up when your right beside them... Even when you tell them, they still act like you don't exist.

Some people are just really desperate I guess.

I don't think so, depending on the situation it could be a boon for battle. Just imagine; a female lalafell in wyrm armor. Have them curl up, pick them up and throw them at the boss; insta-shredded boss ftw.

That's really funny because you reminded me of something a number of years back where I was just trying out some random MMO for a bit with a friend(that we ended up dropping within a week), but I began with a female character just for a change of pace and soon after starting there was this random male character who approached me in one of the first villages. As I recall, he never actually said anything but emoted a lot at me and in this game you could force another character to carry you, or them you... and they did one of the two to me after a bit(and a possible party invite), but it all came off in a "GURL AVATAR LIKE" kind of way rather than random silliness so I immediately logged out, laughed it off with my friend over Skype because it caught me so off-guard and then proceeded to remake myself into a male character in case things like that persisted.

That same day, near the same village, the exact same thing happened, only with a girl character approaching my new, male character.


(Naturally, neither case was really bothering me that much but I found it both really odd and really funny. I think I quickly ran away/logged out the second time too).

Speaking of which .. having a carry emote will be nice. We can already carry stuff in dungeons/ events like the easter one .. why not carry people too like so?

Maybe it's because I have moved into casual or roleplaying in MMOS over hardcore raiding, but sometimes in those groups women actually outnumber men.

When I hardcore raided in EQ2 though we only had 4 women on mic out of 24 spots.

It's always a little sad when Titanman necros a thread and most of the people who posted in it don't have their main job at cap. :(

Wrong? Well on the spectrum of "what is wrong?" Def wrong is like murder or torturing puppies... Hitting on people when they're trying to run a dungeon, meh. Not that "wrong."

Now, if the question was: "Is it effective to hit on people during a dungeon run?" The answer is a hard no. It's not an effective time to take your shot. Like half court shots or hail mary passes, it's a low percentage play.
