Different strokes for different folks.

The ilvl went up an entire 31 levels(assuming i245 weapon will push and extra) and the stuff hasn't been out for an entire 4 days its not the end of the world.
Expect the raid groups to have trouble. Also there lots of gearing up to do and Sephirot weapons to get. That means more DPS.
I know Zay is a troll and all, but how do you confuse the words "Savage" and "Easy"?
Edit. Btw A6S cleared a hf an hour before I posted this.
It was never said it was going to be easier.
Only that there would be a lesser focus on "dps checks". Which is something the game needed to move away from.
I would hope then that the people struggling to clear it are failing the mechanical / survival sides of the fights. And not simply struggling to clear dps checks,
Like hard content? Do it.
Dont like hard content? Dont do it.
Pretty much that simple. Which reminds me, Didnt a lot of people avoid Coil Savage?
"Easier than [the] first" doesn't mean an absence of difficulty. The difference here is that it's more mechanics-driven over DPS, and even then it doesn't mean there's no DPS checks within said mechanics either.
Also i220 pentamelded isn't the equivalent to i240 gear. That would make no sense.
Well, now that A7S has been cleared, I'd say it's pretty apparent this is easier than Gordias was for the top tier groups. Obviously less gear dependent, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily looser DPS checks, just more...the DPS checks aren't insurmountable without better gear.
Beijg one of the people that had the problem of being sandwiched between monotonus grinds and a raid tier that was overtuned, did they at least address the curve in difficulty?
Up to a7s cleared first week. If the difficulty curve is anything like coil I expect the only real delay will be in A8s. I guess we could consider a6s delayed, but this seems to be because of the fight being bugged at the moment.
To quote from reddit:
This seems like it should be fixed ASAP.Quote:
What is the bug?: The bug is that when you pass compressed water and compressed lightning on the Vortexer it sometimes seems to pass back to the original person giving it away, which causes the game to trigger a mechanic fail and explode, thus wiping the raid.

Actually I'm still not sure where the reward kicks in. When I finally beat Turn 9 for the first time, I friggen hated everything about Nael (or w/e that woman's name is) and was too angry to do the other coils. (I did them about 3 months later in 1 day). Savage had too many complaining and yelling at eachother that when I finally beaten it, everyone just bashed on each other for not getting the gear they wanted, even yelled at me for getting a healer piece (which was rendered useless a patch later). These high end raids bring out the worst in people and I still don't understand it. -_-
Are we all willfully ignoring that this new content came out with a major patch? Gordias Savage was released at a time when the people who challenge raid content as early as possible were:
-done with Bismarck
-done with Ravana and already had their primal weapons
-already had some ilv 190 gear from 2 previous weeks of Alexander Gordias Normal
Now let's see what people are doing in 3.2 when Gordias Savage was released:
-clearing normal mode to unlock Savage mode. Not having access to normal mode 2 weeks prior and being completely new to mechanics.
-challenging a new EX primal for weapons to make the DPS checks in savage mode more lax, or maybe just wanting to beat Sephirot EX before jumping into Midas Savage
-farming old primals for birds
When Alex Gordias Savage came out, it was the only thing that the patch brought, and endgame players were already bored with everything else, so they invested their time on Midas. It's no surprise that people cleared A1S faster than A5S at the time of a content drought where now we are getting a new Savage mode raid at the same time that a whole bunch of other content has also being released. Now, please stop crying because the new Savage mode hasn't been cleared in a week. Thanks.
Yeah, mechanics that you still can't ignore, talk about a horribly-designed fight.
Why would you quote only half of proposition? It completely twists it.
Top teams perfomance in i220 gear is equal or higher than regular statics in 240 gear, what exactly is incorrect here? And you quoted me partially like I'd said 'i220 is i240', when I was talking about levels of performance. World first statics always needed lower ilevel gear to achieve results other people can achieve only with better gear some months later.
And 99% still may not clear it 3 months later like it was with A3S, what's your point?
Sounds like you had a crap group. I've raided for about 7 years (in WoW before this game) and I've never had that experience in any hard content.
Raiding is a social experience and it's all about clearing something challenging with friends and people you enjoy playing with. Sorry your group had assholes, if I raided with people like that I would have quit after the first day.
There is a difference between Static Progression raid groups and...well...normal raid groups that we are all used to seeing.
There is a reason why people cleared it so quickly and that is because the hardcore Progression raid groups raid for twice as long as the average raid group does. This will probably add up to about 5-8 hours for 3-4 days a week. That's a LOT of wiping in a dungeon.
The normal static raid groups only raid for 3-4 hours for 2-3 days a week, which I myself don't have much time for.
The only difference is the amount of time that is put into raiding that makes a difference.
It's easier because they can still meet the DPS checks even without most of the lore gear, which is saying something. So CLEARLY the Midas stages of Alexander have shifted in terms of difficulty.
