210 to 245, seriously? New relic step better be at least 250.
Your bone this time apparently is your special snowflake tomestone gear all to yourselves.
Well, can't say this wasn't coming, what with all the noise. I'm just disappointed that they didn't do something like marginally boost the healing half of the spell by like 10-25% or something to not make the spell incredibly niche now.
I'm with ya, dyeable starter gear is one of my highlights. Love the Hyur's shirt, but I'm tired of having to make everything else white to match it.
It does relate directly to age, but also to experience. It could easily be used in the same context as senpai/kouhai, but english simply doesn't creat that kind of relationship with those words. The translation is accurate, but the culture is different. For example in activities a younger person could be your senior, or rank. They would just be addressed as sir or some such though.
I dunno, I'm pretty happy with the patch notes though. There isn't anything that i facepalmed. So, that's a win.
iLvl leap seems too high. There's not a lot of content tuned to 200+ iLvl so iLvl 245 blows most content out of the water. Not sure how I feel about that.
I senpai know senpai right senpai it senpai just senpai hurts senpai my senpai soul senpai every senpai time senpai I senpai see senpai that senpai word senpai senpai.
But seriously YAY patch notes!! I'm so excited about AST skill adjustments!! xD
P.S. senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai senpai
SEEEEEENNNNPAAAAAAAIIIIII
Yoshi-P has also said that 2.0 WARs were perfectly fine and needed no adjustments. The devs can be out-of-touch with the meta just as much as any player, if not more so. It's still puzzling to me that they think a core job mechanic is perfectly balanced when far too much if it relies on RNG, and unlike MCH (the other job afflicted with the RNG curse), we have no tools to offset it (Shuffle change is a step in the right direction, though). It's like saying, "Selene MIGHT use Fey Wind here...or she might use Silent Dusk. Sorry gg try again in 30 seconds.".
Honestly, though? I could live with the fire-n-forget card system if they would just fix poor Noct Sect already. Everywhere I look raids are recruiting for SCH, or WHM/AST, but NEVER SCH/AST. They're meant to be a substitute for either healer job and they're failing tremendously at one half of it.
240 for sure , looks like SE learned a lesson and now raids drop are +5 , until final raid and relics catch up and is at the same ilvl :)
MCH buffs are really cool (im jelous) both magical and physical +10% for 30s with a 2m cd is awesome ..... 3 melee (drg , nin . mnk) + mch (+2 tanks) the new meta for 3.2 , they needed a bone for sure but thats looks like a T-rex one
Yay more DoL and DoH gear... w..t..f
Some of these changes are nice but others are just flat out stupid and make no sense....
About the lore weapon:
We have rowena tokens again. This means there's also going to be a drop from Midas (savage) required to get the weapon.
3 or 4 weeks to get the tomes required, and savage clears to get the token.
I'm sure the fiend weapons are going to be what the majority are using for a long time.
As for the token...wonder what that black copper gil is...
how fun so after grinding my relic to il210 it will be totally outdated after like day 1 of 3.2.... and it took ages to do the last step
There is no 'uncapped Lore', it's on a 450 per week limit.
Yes, and that's why saying Seph seems obsolete on release makes no sense because it's not possible to get a better weapon than that on release, like it was with Bismark. Unlike the latter, Seph's will be above the new uncapped (Eso) weapons, even when upgraded, so it has more longevity on release compared to Bismark's.Quote:
That said, you are correct, it may take a few weeks to get the Lore weapon. The reason that the law one is different is because law wasn't weekly capped and it was released well before Alex etc.
Which is still better than not being viable at all on Patch launch.Quote:
Seph I guess is only obsolete after week 3 or so
Sorry I am not sure why I said uncapped on either. I meant Lore > Seph and Law > Bismark. No idea where uncapped came from on that sentence lol - hadn't had my coffee yet? :)
Obsolete 3 weeks after release, is effectively obsolete on release imo. But yes, technically it is not.
Anyway, I was mostly agreeing with you, no need to argue ;)
It's cool, no arguments here.
You do have to consider, though, from a raiding perspective it's only 3 weeks if you're a DPS - assuming they're reverting back to the Raid Tome + Token system from Second/Final Coil. So for certain other classes/roles, Seph weapon will be their go-to for a good while until the Tome distribution falls their way.
The items area also lists master crafter book IV's as well as the Golden Apple, Solstice Garlic, Mature Olive Oil and Loaghtan Filet... these ingredients sound a lot like the Buillion Cube, Heavenly Kukuru Powder etc that we can purchase with blue crafter scrips so these could possibly be bought with red scrips.
Back in Second/Final Coil, you had to roll on a raid-exclusive Tomestone which you traded along with Tokens to buy your Soldiery/Poetics weapon. So in terms of distribution a static with their first clear would give it to a DPS first, then with each clear to the other 3 DPS, then lastly Tank/Heals, meaning you could end up waiting for weeks until you got a Tome to buy your weapon with.
So no adjustments to the new relic at all
LOL @ people that wanted crystal drop rate changes.
Hawk Mount !
Let's hope this typo doesn't make it into the game proper:
Blade of the Sephirot
Axe of the Sephirot
Cane of the Sephirot
Fists of the Sephirot
Pike of the Sephiroth
Bow of the Sephirot
Points of the Sephirot
Staff of the Sephirot
Word of the Sephirot
Song of the Sephirot
Edge of the Sephirot
Fire of the Sephirot
Star of the Sephirot
Shield of the Sephirot
You knew the typo would happen eventually. :P
Some nice quality of life changes, I guess. Same old boring gear progression...
Twintania mount, one day they'll give you fitting music. One day. TT^TT
None are talking about the smn buff? I don't know about you guys but as a blm i have to wonder how much closer to ST damage they will now be?
The buff seems rather significant, especially seeing as they also have higher aoe potency...
the people wanting mentor changed to "senpai" need to stop. you are not japanese. stop it.
That DPS dummy only for people at lv60? Lol? Ist that a joke?
I was expecting its for lv15+ so newbies can actually practice! o.O
Why we get a DPS-Test at lv60?
The game starts being merciless at Brullvolx! If not enough DPS on final boss. There will be to many green puddle or healers MP will run out.
In that case I wont lower the amount of people that dont know how to use there skills >.>
..when entering a dungeon roulete; I will still get drg's not using that Atk to get 15% more dmg, and just doing the 3 hit combo for example =.=
So, their solution to MCH just being plain outscaled and out DPS'd by BRD... Is to just completely buff the heck out of an ability that's already the only fringe case why'd you'd bring a MCH over a BRD already?
Welp, I'm thoroughly disappointed.
They're also bringing out the Hall of the Novice as well which does teach things from level 15 onwards, that should set some people on the right path at least.
Just got to the part about the jukebox. While not essential in the grand scheme of things, it's a very welcome surprise.
I understand why you might be concerned, but honestly we needed the buff. Yes, we have the best AoE damage right now, but the problem is 99% of endgame fights and trials are ST. The gap between SMN and BLM ST DPS means BLM tended to be preferred for raids. Especially given the strict DPS checks in Gordias. That 100-150 DPS difference between the jobs could be the difference between a wipe and a clear.
Ruin III being buffed was the best way to go about it, since its one of our few abilities with cast times. Meaning once the theorycrafters are done shaking things out, we'll likely be trading a bit of our mobility to take advantage of the increased potency.
Im pretty much disappointed about the musicbox -.-
I bet, It needs super rare Mats to make one(maybe also a 5star crafter, huh?)! And I bet those music-scrolls are super Rare too! -.-
So uh.. thanks? I can delete that desire: Music Box -.-
Its like that Fenrir-"Prank"
"GO THA AWEZUM FENRIR" ohh.. but it cost you super-duper overpriced 1million MGP! ;D"
after a year: I have 900.000 MGP. I barely spend on anything so far! Just doing daily lotterie thingy >_>;
It's probably the same reason they didn't leave it as "Tayoreru Mentor", because just randomly leaving one word in Japanese (or rather a Romanized transliteration of Japanese) when writing in English looks stupid. And actually the English "mentor" fits the role better than the Japanese "先輩" (senpai) does anyway. "Senpai" just indicates someone who's been around longer, whereas the English "mentor" more specifically indicates someone who's using that greater experience to help teach others, which is the whole point of the feature.
I'm more curious why they changed it from "Rely on a Mentor" or "Depend on a Mentor" as the Japanese version said (頼れる先輩) to "I Hope Mentor Will Notice Me".
Looking forward to seeing what the victory and battle stance emotes look like on all classes.
No Dab for a victory stance? Devs are slippin' a bit.
