In regards to skimpy clothing, yes.

Let's be honest, not even the amazingly sexy male Roegadyn body can save some hairstyles.

Nothing kills a moment more than someone threatening you with a good time, but requiring you to wear a shower cap.

Those are all pretty horrible.

Why do all the male hairstyles (that aren't cropped super-short or bordering on a female hairstyle) look like unwashed hair that's been hacked into with garden shears?

Being twirled around my body would ruin them, but I don't mind if they touch the floor, or cause clipping.

I'm sure afros will be VERY popular for about a month, then they'll be as rare as the currently rare hairstyles.

It would have been nice for them to spend the time they spent making afros on serious hairstyles that people will actually use in the future rather than something that will be lolzy and popular for a month, then have its novelty wear off, but oh well :\

They need to loose the sideburns on the womens afro. Otherwise they should have just borrowed Sazh Katzroy's hair from FFXIII and added a mutton chop option.

Afros have been one of the most requested hairstyles among the community, they just listend to what people asked for what. What happens when they don't do that? "This hairstyle is identical to this one, bad SE!" even though it's not similar. You can never please everyone.

That being said, they really messed up the afro here.

I can at least say this women do not and not all men wore afros with mutton chops at all. :confused:this is easy to find info from any google search and pictures of my own family lmao.

I didn't have hope at all for afro in game even though :( I liked Sazh Katzroy afro in ff13.
I understand that a lot can be lost in translation with little to no contact with black people.

You talk like they went with a choice that was "wrong" so to speak, but it's quite obvious they were going for the classical and most well-known cartoony Afro style. I'd prefer they didn't spend development resources into 3+ different afros to meet all of your needs, as it's quite the niche hairstyle and will only be worn by a few after the initial hype died out. I do agree that they should offer an option without the sideburns.

I don't think the reasoning matters, just that it was a suggested thing and SE thought "Why not?" as it seems like a fairly thing to implement. An easy way to please the player base while listening to their feedback, but they messed that up by creating the ugliest 'fro texture I have laid my eyes on. Still, people who have been craving an afro will use this, ugly texture or not. It doesn't really matter in the end, how many people would really use a short hairstyle on a female character? You'd see them around, sure, but not to the extent of every other hairstyle out there. The same goes for the afro, not to mention that the afro is technically a "bonus" hairstyle since we're getting the usuals and the winners from the competition.

@Colorful I understand what you are trying to say but going for a cartoony afro was mistake they could have gone with more realistic afro. Its not like SE hasn't done it in the past Sazh afro was awesome. So yeah I'm disappointed because it just the worse afro they could have picked.

Agreed 5 minutes online search can find 10+ sharp looking, modern styles they could have chosen. They chose to use the most foolish looking design possible not to mention decades old. Terrible decision, wrong on every level, will not make excuses for what is imo a bad choice, the wrong choice.

Think a bit before you finalize these silly things se....please.

I saw the first post (and read the blog the OP linked) but nothing states they're not implementing the winning hair from the contest, nor does it say anywhere that they 'fucked up". Unless I'm blind

They're going to be implementing those too, just likely not finished yet.

I'd kill if they just worked on universalizing all of the hair styles for everyone. Plenty of unique hair styles, they're just.. Locked to guys or a few races.
