1.0-> WAR 2.0 /3.0-> DRG
Really loved WAR in 1.0. Still do but DRG has been my raid job while I do daily content as WAR. Now I like DRK so much I may be taking the opportunity in my static to roll that as my main.

Really loved WAR in 1.0. Still do but DRG has been my raid job while I do daily content as WAR. Now I like DRK so much I may be taking the opportunity in my static to roll that as my main.
I started as a monk in 2.4 I believe and then shortly after changed to a summoner and I fell in love. Who doesn't love feeling like a badass witch ;) smn is still my main but I've been playing around with the dark knight and I'm loving them as well.
Lin Celistine has been wielding a Lance from 1.0 and hasn't let the practice go since.
Started as a Marauder.
I main a Warrior to this day.
I like big axes, I cannot lie.
Started as SMN all the way through ARR, then switched to AST and I'm not looking back (until Blue Mage)
I started as an Archer in the 2.0 launch on PS4 and still main Bard today. I'm a also a SCH and learning DRK, but Archer/Bard was my first and forever love (even after the 3.0 changes).
Started as Monk in 2.0 Pre-Release. Never truly switched, only dabbled in PLD.
Playing Dark Knight now. I still love the Monk for those late-night fun dungeon runs.
Started as a Pugilist. Ended up as a Ninja.
Started as a Gladiator in Early Access and technically mained Paladin through all three tiers of Coil, though I used Warrior for pretty much anything that wasn't raids. Paladin was my first 60 in Heavensward, but I'm currently gearing up my Dark Knight for the later floors of Alex Savage and it will most likely become my new main.
I am slow at leveling so currently just BLM, started as THM.
In the end I'll probably be a NIN, maybe a SMN.
Started as MNK, then went through the nightmare of the evil witch called 'lag' and it's minions 'latency'. They proved to be too stronk when they buffed Titan EX, who bitch-slapped me silly.
Everything was out of the question.
So I switched to Bard and never looked back. Being able to freely move around preemptively made it easier to fight lag and latency.
Thooooooooooooghhhh.......... with the whole cast time thing with Bards... it sorta took me a step backwards again.... TT
1.0 - For versatility I played Drg, Mnk, and Blm, though during original 1.0 when cross class skills could be used on any class, I mained Thm because of my love for Blm that I acquired from 3 and a half years of FFXI (where I mained Blm and Sam), as well as because I absolutely loved enfeebling mobs.
2.0 - I started out as Acn, then chose Smn main because I wanted to play completely different jobs than what I previously played during 1.0, or FFXI. I eventually decided I wanted to switch things up a bit and played around with Brd as a secondary main (never played Rng during my time in Vana'diel and only leveled Arc to 50 during 1.0 because of lack of content and it was uber easy to level to 50), and then Blm because I've always loved Blm. I also decided to try out tanking (never tanked previously as I felt it just wasn't for me) and I found War to be very enjoyable, and I found Pld fun as well. Though, of the two, I prefer War. A large part of my motivation to play tank classes was that I always thought that tank gear looked bad ass.
3.0 - Drk. Drk looked very interesting to me, and I never played Drk during my time with FFXI. Also, this was to continue the trend of playing jobs that I never really played previously and focusing on different aspects of gameplay that I had never really focused on. I was so interested in Drk that when I got to Ishgard I completely ignored the MSQ and the first thing I did was unlock Drk and started leveling it. Didn't get back to working on MSQ until I had Drk at 50, and I've had a blast with it. Can't wait to hit 60. Just 1 level to go! (My play time is limited, thus the reason why I've yet to hit 60 even though I've been playing since EA) After I get Drk to 60, when I'm not working on gearing Drk, my plan is to take Brd to 60, and after Brd, Smn. However, after hearing so many good things about Mch, I may toy around with Mch to see if it's for me, and, if I find it to be a lot of fun, my plans may change.
1.0 - I played around with the thought of creating a Dark Knight, utilizing Gld, Mrd, and Thm. Needless to say I saw this not working well and eventually quit because the game was very unstable, buggy and laggy on the serverside. Was very disappointed with the game that first week.
2.0 - Arcanist > Summoner. Ended up leveling all the other jobs to 50 as well but Summoner was still my main.
3.0 Summoner is still my main and I love it. Dark Knight is my new go-to tanking job and I will eventually level up White Mage to 60 as my go-to healer. Then.. maybe Dragoon for funsies.
Started out as a bard, but I got really bored of the play style pretty quick. I bounced around like 3 different jobs for a bit. Currently, I'm torn between maining a warrior, machinist or ninja.
BARD....
and.....BARD....
Play all jobs though. Bard is by far my favorite followed by SCHOLAR and WARRIOR.
Conjurer - White Mage, I knew what I wanted and still loving it.
This is an alt account since mine got permabanned. :(
I joined the exodus for the 3.0. My main was PLD, then switched to WAR for obvious reasons.
I always play jobs based on how I feel in the MS.
When I started to play FF14, it was in the beggining of ARR. I think it was around 2.1 or 2.2. My first class was lancer to eventually become the mighty dragoon. Long have I been a fan of this jobs since I played my first FF game which was FF Tactics. I mained this class until the end while slowly leveling all the others class when I felt like it with monk been my second favorite.
After the final events that occured at the very end of the MS of ARR, my character was so confused. Then, while slowly walking to Isghard for refuge, I took the mantle of the dark knight to exerce my vengence on all the corrupted city that is Ul Dah. I needed to be a dark knight to act with justice where all those wouldn't.
I still plan to get dragoon back as a main someday but for now, the cloak of darkness and abyss suit me quite well...
Oh and monk is my second jobs for when I need to strike true and strong :3
A long time ago there was a little Miqo'te Conjurer by the name of Ceci Riocha. She wanted to be a White Mage when she grew up! Along the way she got to experience the joy of playing Arcanist, and decided she wanted to be a Scholar instead. Then she realized that Scholar to micro-manage a fairy and decided to be a White Mage again. She stayed a White Mage for a little while until she tried Marauder and then fell in love with the axe. She was then a Warrior until her allies needed her to pick up her tome again and be a Summoner. She stayed as a Summoner until the Dreadwyrm came, when she became a Ninja. She then spent her time bouncing between Ninja, Warrior, and Scholar until she finally settled down as a Dark Knight after the elves let her into their city. Along the way however she drank a strange potion that made her turn into this weird scaled creature and forget who she was, instead taking on a new name and history.
TL;DR: Conjurer -> Dark Knight, it's been a strange ride.
Started Dragoon and switched to Paladin. Always intended to main Paladin but since my favorite Final Fantasy classes are Red Mage, Dragoon, and Blue Mage I decided to level it first.
I've main'd archer since 1.18(?). While I have leveled all of Gridania's classes with deviations only to gain abilities for cross-classing I still keep to archer. "Don't you mean Bard?" No, meant what I said. Bard has no levels of it's own, it's just a Job. Every single one of it's abilities are quested. Only Extra Jobs enjoy life without the backbone of a class.
Started as a Archer in 2.0 and my mainjob is still Bard.
But is also lvled an Warri DRG and Astro up.
I started as an ACN with plans of going SCH. But by around lvl 30 I wasn't liking the look of all the caster gear and I also thought if I started all over again I could do some things faster and more organized, so I made a new char, who became my main. She started as a MRD, and until now WAR is still my main job.
Started as PLD, ran PLD for about a year. Finally got tired of all the tank hate, leveled DRG and never looked back. Now leveling BRD for additional option.
I started as a MRD/Warrior to 40 in 2.0. Quit it for DRG. Loved it.
Raided with it. Kicked ass with it. Took it through Coil T1 and was hooked.
Quit DRG for MCH in Heavensward. Like the idea of MCH. Got it to i190... But hated the play style with GB and ammo.
Picked up DRK as my apt Tank for grinding fast times and actually ended up spending all of my times on DRK now.
I consider DRK my main but I've yet to even attempt Ravana EX with it (cleared multiple times on MCH and DRG)
I'll consider myself a full time pro tank once I attempt and clear RAV ex on DRK.
I have no intention of running Savage on any job.
^^ continued,
Funny thing is I actually hated Tanking and never tanked in another MMO.
DRK felt a lot like DRG but with a different role.
2.0: I started us a puppy cnj, then when i get invisible and the que in time dungeon was like popsicle so i stay whm to 50
2.0-2.3 After i level my whm to 50, i know i switch to paladin it was easy peasy job back then you can do most everything solo, i lvl it to 50.
2.4 NINJA enough said
3.0 MACHINIST this was my first to 60 anything with guns *pew pew
NOW i havn't touch whm, pld, mch and sch so far just been gathering, daily crafting and FISHING(I'm trying to collect all the fish and finishing up big fish challenge). I guess I just want peace of mind now day's.
one month later..
3.1 Have to get my red cap *where did I put it* ok lets go! `GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL!
It's you and me, we know it's our destiny!!!!
My main was, is, and always will be Dragoon, but my alts have shifted over time. I use to us PLD almost exclusively as my Alt Job but I've taken to Datk Knigbt since 3.0. I also picked up Mechanist then and have taken so much of a liking I've mad it my main Alt dps (replacing Ninja from 2.55)
Started as Bard and then SE added cast bars so I moved to DRG. Having a blast on DRG but bummed the 2 years of muscle memory on old bard was wasted. Also loving WAR as an Alt. :P
I started as a Conjurer and I'm a White Mage. I play other jobs but no matter what I will always be a White Mage. I like keeping people alive. Well that and I like being able to let people die if they're jerks hehehe.
Started BRD. Had BRD at 50 and ACN to 46 before HW. WHM at 30. Few others at various levels.
Told myself I wasn't tanking. Hated tanking pugs in wow, no one needed one for raiding.
Got AST, ARN, BRD to 60. Then came PLD. Main PLD now. Healer job is SCH, DPS job is BRD but gearing to be NIN.
I started Beta thinking I would like dragoon, I played lancer and didn't really enjoy it. I tried conjurer as a little lalafell and I absolutely LOVED it. I've been CNJ/WHM ever since and I enjoy playing WHM more than any other job.
WAR is a secondary job that I am having fun on, but I can't get into it in the same way that I feel about WHM.
I actually started as a PLD on another server with a different character but then I noticed that I didn't like it; I went to another server (Balmung), made a Warrior and pretty much sticked with it to this day, since I like alternative tanking styles.
I also enjoy MNK a lot because I feel like they're the real "rogues" of this game, since I truely love "backstabbing" and hitting from different sides. Ninja is the least favourite because of my mindset of a rogue player.
Besides, frontstab? Is this Team Fortress 2 O.o?
EQ2 scouts have frontal as well as flank/rear attacks.
Mostly debuffs flavored as eye gouging.
I stated the game as a LNC (because it looked cool :D) but quickly changed to BRD. In Heavensward my main has been SMN so far.
When I started back in 2.0 release I really wanted to tank in this mmo. I leveld paliden to 50 started doing end game and started getting people wanting me to rush um and I really didn't like trying to control tons of mobs at once so I said screw it and gave up on tanking.
From that point on I just went back and leveld everything to 50 and didn't really progress at end game for along time. Finally settled on blm for like a year.
But now I went back to whm, which was my main for years In ffxi, and i'm loving whm in ff14 so I may be this for the long haul :)
I started originally as a BLM. After I reached 50 I started to raise BRD for the cross class and enjoyed it so much it became my main through 2.1-2.55. Then I started DRG, again for the cross class skills, and, again, enjoyed it so much that I made it my main for HW. I did also raise MCH to 52 but I felt it was too weak and too clunky (though admittedly I haven't gone back to it since the buff), SMN/SCH to 60 which was fun, and DRK to 56 which was interesting. I'm thinking I might go back to BRD or BLM next (probably BLM because everyone and their mother is a BRD in my FC while no one seems to BLM anymore. XD)
I started in ARR as a monk, only got it to 30 though and switched to bard which was my main for first coils. Before second coils came out I leveled Scholar to 50... Scholar has been my main job eversince.
I started the game 1 year ago as a pugilist and fell in love with the class, monk is still my main. :D
