You can be sure that they would never make japanese players suffer this kind of maintenence. Japanese businesses have a long way to go towards treating customers outside of Japan fairly. Pretty tired of being treated as second class in regards to game releases. Look at a US video game company and they don't delay it for international releases. Why does Japan?

If SE decide to change the locations for JP servers then yes, japanese players would also get some days maintenence.

Do we even know if NA will be down as well? if not lets not hit the panic button just yet. But i do think if they need to take NA down to update the EU worlds then Japan needs to go down as well. Why? well it be fair and if not at least give NA players some sort of free b for the wait.

I wonder what would happen to us north American players that play on the EU servers. Such as me I play on moogle when the EU servers get transferred to the EU data center will I have to server transfer. If so what would happen to the 2 houses my husband bought that also plays on moogle. I really hope that SE won't make me transfer servers though especially since all my friends that I have met on this game play on moogle.

Nobody will get forced to transfer. Everything will get copied 1:1

You won't be forced to transfer, but if you don't, you will have to suffer the delay us EU players have been suffering this whole time.

Not even that. I'm saying that they shouldn't have to play on servers designed for use by Japanese speaking players because SE can't stick the NA servers(since most games direct AU to NA servers because English) in a location that's more favorable.

Servers are in Montreal because of the European group. Move them and there's no reason to keep the NA servers in that unstable network dive. The latency from AU to Cali >> AU to east coast.

For full disclosure, I'm American and have Aussie friends. Lots of them. I actually play on EU times though.

The usual maintenance is like what? 2-5 hours? Nothing to write home about.

Unfortunately, with housing as it is now, that is impossible. Don't expect it, and don't get upset when it doesn't happen. In their defense, they did label the servers, and yeah, i know, they weren't "real" EU servers. But still, you had a choice, can't complain about the consequences of that choice.

So? Just be glad they do maintenances and do hot fixes right after. And the times they do maints? No issue for me.
