We got him down to 30-35% with our r45 dungeon gear so we are hoping after we make all this new gear we can get him down, either way like you said only a matter of time.

Its most about damage evasion, you can actually dodge ALL damage it does besides tank damage in phase 1 and 2. (doesn't mean you can/will)
Its big 360 hit is scripted to go off at the same times (can run out of range to avoid)
Dash, Voids, Pulse (meele can dance it, go in do 2-3 meeles, dance out, buff WS dance out etc)
We've got the P3 (or P4, whatever you want to call it) with mostly everyone dead a few times but it seems bursting P2 is the general goal (6-8 maim/doomspike is really all thats needed)

Richardd can you direct me to where you got this FFXIV Parser and what programs I need to run it? Really enjoyed parsing in FFXI and would love one for FFXIV.

So so close..
Chaos Thrust is 2000TP minimum and eats all TP over 2000 (after 20%). Unless you have Full, Heavy and Pierce up you wont hit 2000TP fast enough for the instant CD effect of Keen Flurry to be worth while. Also Chaos Thrust is poor damage compared to other, more optimized class specific weapons skills.
After 20% even? I didn't know that. That's a big change if that is the case. See I would think Chaos Thrust would do more damage after 20%, and I would think with invigorate II, speed Surge II, and basic skills one wouldn't have a problem getting 2 Chaos Thrusts in 10 seconds to make full use of Maim.
scratching the KCBRN setup and going back to the survivability composition from our 10% attempts last night.

Depends how much buffs raise it.
Chaos Thrust for me does 69 * 5 when Ifrit is full HP, or 350 damage. Unbuffed Doomspike II does 450-500, fully buffed (for me) is 770 range. We have a LNC that is nearly reaching 900 on his (Champ Lance+2 with 50 atk materia).
But its pretty funny, we've been going 4x LNC tonight mostly and getting him to P2 (Glowing phase) in like 3 minutes. LNC does by far the most damage now.
LNC has best Ingiv2 and with 4 of them you rotate Comrade in Arms and just spam Doomspike. Also LNC avoids its Pulses in Phase2 (when it glows) by abusing the longest meele range in the game. You move to where you "jump" in for your attacks and the pulse totally misses you. The essentially gives the the survivability an archer offers, and higher DPS.
Last phase like Richardd said its ridiculous though, the ground is nearly always covered in effects. Triple charge is easy to avoid but the plumes/sears are just X.x;;

Making it this far and dieing so much has made me really think if these weapons are really worth it or not lol
