Oh.
Well there you have it.

Some really great things in this patch. I'm so depressed now though. I play this game on PC but I can not fully appreciate it or enjoy it because my PC sucks. I just want to play it properly on PS3 and the better the game gets the more painful the fact its still nowhere in sight is! One step closer I guess...
In the long term it will do even more damage, because PS3 players that might not know this therefore as soon as they can, possibly with no linkshell, and choose a GC they want only to not get accepted to runs because they chose the wrong company.
We need clarification before the patch to ensure that we can still get the gear with differant GCs, just gil/DM/seals doesnt matter as much.
So Ancient Magic.....Why Nerf The Timer? no one was using it already....hahaha oh well tho and nerfed even harder without the aoe? we will just have to see how this plays out.
This patch looks amazing, so much content wonder how big the file download will be
And: aww for gold going useless, I guess we won't see any golden items in the game.
Better yet... how big the queue's will be xD They were horrid when 1.18 went live lol If you happened to get on, got kicked off... just saying, don't see myself or many friends getting to play patch till next day, on Wednesday^^ Tuesday night prob going to be even more packed than 1.18's release >.< Been prepared for this hehe
Increases in VIT and PIE granted by gear have been made to influence maximum HP and MP respectively.
Will this also hold true for passive traits purchased with Guild marks?
Casting magic in passive = ftw Like if you agree WOOT ^^ hahaha
with featherfoot mp regeneration does this mean every class should be constantly featherfooting? haha
So what's with the 30 FPS toggle? Is that going to make it run better on low end machines or something?
They are both the same problem. Even if there were 1 million players, you still segregate based on GC and effectively divide the population due to extreme gear/loot rewards. It may still be easier to get a group granted but the segregation is still there. It is just worse in the current situation where we have less players.
This entire update is pure gold.. but with one exception.
Why is so much stuff in Ul'dah still?
Move the Materia removing NPC to Grid or LL. We don't need any more reasons to go overcrowd Ul'dah.
BTW, did anyone catch the enemy size adjustment?? No more world-eating toads I'll wager :D
Also, I really like the HP/MP regen while standing still - its a worthwhile trade for casting in passive and it makes one value their MP a bit more.
The materia lore is around uldah, which is probably why they added it all there, but with airships it shouldnt matter too much once you have done the quests.
Your waaaayyyyyy off, the toads will be 5x the size i bet, the garleans gave em all growth hormones because they dont wanna fight us.
I find this couter-productive to spreading people across Eorzia too. They just added another reason for EVERYONE regardless of who they follow to run to thanalan for something. Cmon now SE.... Other than that, THe patch is awesome.
I wonder how the combat and stats changes will effect everyone tho. Will it make tanks into tanks and squishies into squishies finally?
Gigantoad species should stay the same size :p I'm not really sure what enemies could have been increased or shrunk in size though...since imo everything seems like a nice size as they are.
Unless mitelings are bigger or something. Maybe Anglers/Orobons.
It should since for now, everyone will have defined stats for each specific class + equipment benefits. Glad lancers got a really useful ability. Full deletion of enemy TP? Yes, Please.
This is exactly the kind of patch we needed 1.19 to be.
so does this mean that both MND and PIE will increase MP, or just PIE now
I think MND = Magic defense/ Healing, INT = Magic Attack, PIE = MP?
Just finished reading through the entire thing...
I liked what I saw. ^^
PIE has always been magic potency (which also did some nice things to the damage rates of DoTs), before 1.19 MND determined the increase in MP similarly to how VIT increased HP, they didn't explicitly state that MND wouldn't be used in the MP calculation, only that PIE was going to be used, so does this mean that both are going to be used or just PIE now
Ul'dahn Subligar Unique Untradable / Pants / Requires: Disciple of War / Required Level: 30 Defense 43 VIT:+3 DEX:+3 Evasion:+5

Pumped about liking everything except one thing. WTF at price increasing as level increases(airship). I know we have more money but it seems like you are just makig 5000gil for gits and shiggles because we have more gil. I would like to hear their explanation for this.
Everything else though I loved.
That wasn't meant to be a personal attack on you. I'm just saying that people hang out in Ul'dah because people hang out in Ul'dah. Square Enix not only can't stop that, but they shouldn't try to mess with it. It builds community for people to have a central place to congregate.
There is a lot to love in this new patch. I am especially pleased with changes to Gladiator. Ive always hated the Guard mechanic. Also I am really interested in those new exp bonus items. Where would we get them, what are their restrictions? Are they scrolls or something like the exp rings from FFXI? It would fit in nicely I suppose with what Yoshi haa said recently about chargeable accessories.
I have to say they look to have delivered a significant patch here. MANY of the issues I have hated about this game seem to be getting fixed in this patch. The claiming system and link system alone makes this patch fantastic.
I have been at work trying to read through this LOL.Taking forever and I have no real complaints but one question. Why are there only 2 spots compared to the other cities in Limsa for new side quests? O.o
That is all I have to ask otherwise I'm so excited reading this stuff ...I really am so anxious to just DO EEEETTTTT and PLAY! lmao :p
