I am however with you on the fact people are raging early.
People do however have the right to shout and scream about what was posted, even if it was as a mistake. Things do change thankfully, and when/if they fix the price influx, the anger will just drift away. So for now, SE can at least be made aware that the UK is ****ed off at what was posted, mistake or otherwise.

I think they'll fix it personally. SE actually like's it's fans.

I sure as toffees don't agree with the price point here in the UK, but what concerns me even more at the minute is that regardless of the price I can't flippin' pre-order at all because the site is screwed up!!

That said, Why is it that the CE is so expensive?! I was expecting it to be around the £80 mark, but £130 is just ridiculous. Sure, we get the added extras and the statue looks amazing but at almost an almost 50% price hike over the NA version, it's just pure extortion.

Can't remember why, but I've tried this in the past on the S-E site. If you try to purchase from an EU version of the store, it won't give you the option to deliver to the UK.

Obviously, otherwise this whole topic wouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm not denying there's no such thing as a £129.99 price tag, or saying that someone imagined it and spread a rumor about it.

Had this discussion the other day, everyone was trying to guess how much it would be via exchange rates and I had to point out that FF just became SE's little cash cow, so doesn't surprise me they are throwing rates out of the window and trying to get more out of it.

Hopefully the backlash they've recieved here and on other outlets will cause them to reconsider that pricing.

Regardless of the obvious discrepancies between the UK and other regions costs, I find the cost overall to be fairly expensive. The actual content included is the same as the ARR CE bar the model. The ARR CE however gave us 30 days of game time which is worth about £9. If we're just looking at the UK prices, we're basically paying £70 more for a model.

VAT is already factored into the total price. Personally I'm stuck waiting for the steam version to appear. I can understand the sheer annoyance of being asked to shell out and extra £30-40 Quid just coz reasons which we'll make up later. I think they went with the euro price as I think they didn't want to clutter the page with various other non euro using countries ( I don't think Norway uses the euro as well as the U.K. )

Amazon u.k. doesnt seem to have the physical ce edition yet ?

If Square Enix converted the price properly it should have been around £90, at the very most £100.

I bought the ARR CE on ebay for £30 new and unsealed at Christmas, got really lucky with finding it, but yeah, totally agree it's a stupid price point. £70 for a model is ridiculous, something I'd expect from AC or Bloodbourne, not a FFMMO. Even the dark souls 2 CE that came with a 12" statue was a heck of a lot cheaper than this!

How is the early access going to work with the physical editions? Are they going to ship out early and actually have the servers up and running, or is it only the download only that get the early access?

Regardless of how we think, people will still be angry. SE hasn't screwed us yet, I can't imagine them starting now. Plus, backlash from the EU could have a negative impact on their EU service migration after all. However, another post has an SS with customer service, stated that the site is managed by NA.

If u preorder physical in a store the code will be printed on a recipt. If u preorder a physical online it will be emailed. Is what I belive was said :D

I asked for proof that right now, in this very instant, that anyone could go to the SE store and confirm the price or buy it, which the site is still down and that is still impossible. It doesn't matter what it was in the past when it was still broken and not purchasable. Right now, this very moment, we have no idea.

Read the support ticket again. US manages the US stores. The ticket was escalated to the EU and UK stores, which is managed by EU/UK.

Ye same here, woke up at 6 just to be awake on time for 7. I've seen people say they will still buy it, people don't want to lose out on rare items and the CE is limited in quantity, but they've stated that even though they'll buy it the price is still outrageous.

Edit: I was going to buy 2 CE's since we are two players in this household, however if the price is still the same when the site comes back up, we are considering other options to say the least.

:) The whole topic is about the past tensed price. The fact, typo or otherwise, it is something that gets people riled up.
If the topic was about what is happening RIGHT NOW it'd be about how nothing is happening right now and that the store is still offline/broken. (I'm sure there's at least three forum topics for those by now.) THIS topic however is about how people are angry at a price posted a few hours back. Doesn't matter if it'll change, it (the past tensed price) will still cause backlash one way or another until corrected. And if not corrected, the number of pages is goina continue to increase. I'll even join the pitch fork and torch parade then.

While I do see your point, you have to understand people go with the information they have been given. SE brought up the pre-order with a £130 price point, now whether the website went down due to traffic and overload, or because they made a mistake with pricing who knows, but still you can't really blame people for voicing concerns over that price.

Now as for people getting bent out of shape, yeah that's overkill, but I'd rather have people voice an opinion about it and see SE drop the price, than have them say 'oh hey, we fucked up the price and no one said a word'.

As I said in a previous post, FF just became SE's little cash cow, wouldn't surprise me if the suits up top wanted to milk it for every single penny E.A games style.

I prolly see it as some sort of small patch IM afraid idk how the early access will work for physical copies. Its all I heard the only idea of what i can think of is that its is only a fraction of the game until the physical disc arrives. Cause the disc itself will have the new launcher and the new Game screens attached. But mailing them off early is a good idea xD

I feel like just importing it from an EU country... I'll get it £19 cheaper, so long as SE are going by their NA/Worldwide region codes like in ARR release.

Very disappointed. Was ready to pre-order as soon as it became available... but now, not so sure. Angry and disappointed. This is a huge fuck you to your fans SE. Pricing and marketing might be totally different departments from the devs but get those gits in here to listen to this. You might sell thousands of copies at this price, but when you make this kind of decision, you are selling faith and trust in the company.

I was pretty excited for this and thought the CE would be a definite purchase. If the price was the same across all regions, I likely would still got for it, but something about this doesn't really sit well with me. Not sure whether I'll go for it now, it doesn't seem right.
