Midlanders: These are the ones who like to be generic and not easy to see in a crowd, they like to blend in and they play the game as close to their real life self as they can. The majority are really nice players but because there are so many of this race, a few are nasty and ....may embarass you with lackluster skills >.<

Highlanders: Although these players want you to think they are tough guys...in reality they are kind and caring people, they just don't like to show it <3 (Also Male Highlanders are HOT.)

Elezen Female: are very elegant, and probably played by intellectuals or people who wish to appear smart, they have some really pretty poses, and have a good fashion sense.

Elezen Male: often give off different vibes depending on the chosen face, the younger face players are often carefree and easy to talk to, they especially love RP and using emotes for all situations. The older face ones are sadly often arrogant :/ alot of them are also very clever and know alot of the mechanics of the game...so that probably makes sense xD

Male Miqote: are generally bubbly and talkative, they love making their character look the best and possible and try to make it reflect the real life. Sometimes you have that rare loner who is trying to appear mysterious lol

Female Miqote: are often male players, who say "I would rather stare at this characters butt all day". The female players are generally chatty and love to have a laugh and a giggle, they love to play around and make everyone chuckle.

Lalafell: I discovered quite recently that this race is generally played by tall people with mostly deep voices....maybe its meant for a shock. Or these players use this to distance their real self from their character as much as possible, to create a seperation between the real world and the game.

Male Roe: The one's I have encountered don't like to wear clothes, and are often quiet, probably keeping to their linkshells and fc chats, they are very quick to mention if they have commited a mistake and try to fix it straight away.

Fem Roe: Omg I love these players (Im one too) we look out for our own, we are slow to trust, but when we trust someone, we chat to them non-stop, we love to have a joke, and can be hyper yet we can also be sincere like an agony aunt, you tell us your problems and we will try to help with them. We love clothing and looking our best, and if we see another Fem Roe we will always stop and take a quick look or chat because we admire and respect each other :)

It doesn't matter what race or gender you are, if you play DRG, you die every fight.

My FC is now being crowded by lalas... at the point they asking me to move to the master race asap!

I'm still new here, this from my point of view, my experience, my environment and the players that I know.

catfolks female = all guy, and pretty rude sometimes.
catfolks male = hard to say
elven female = most stylish, all their dress are elegant.
elven male = pat me twice in dungeon.
hyur male = male, not talk much
hyur female = I have complexity either they are male or female IRL, also not talk much.
lala male = some of them are nice but bit bossy.
lala female = minicon, love cute things (referring to me)
roe male = most of them are walking with underwear.
roe female = they are cool, one of the coolest friend that I have.

Your use of minicon, did you watch Wagnaria/Working?

Hi, my name is Vik Vicious. I am a straight, 25yo male and have a serious addiction to fantasia. Having been every race (male) at least twice, I'd like to share how I felt while playing each.


Hyur Highlander - Wanted to look tough, ended up spamming far too many goofy emotes to be taken as such. That sprint animation... also, shirts are evil.

Hyur Midlander - I hated everything and everyone for being more interesting than me.

Elezen Wildwood/Duskwight - Large egos definitely come natural to this race, though some are better at suppressing the leet than others. I was not one of those people.

Roegadyn - I wanted to be naked all of the time. All of it. Best /dance motion (happy feet). More often than not, I felt protective of party members, usually playing tank or healer roles.

Lalafell - One of the best experiences one can have with emotes. Lalas have the fun and get all the best views... (will update with link to crotch-shot photo album)

Miqo'te - I know I look good and that nearly everything I do is sexy, but I try to stay cool. It's challenging.

Female Seeker Miqo'tes - Usually will spout random stuff, very active, types lots in raids.
Male Seeker Miqo'tes - Flaunt their shit.

Female Keeper Miqo'tes - Gets pissy easy, always mostly are tanks, and if not, just picked the character for darker skin tones.

Male Keeper Miqo'tes - Doesn't ever talk in pt.

Female Midlander Hyurs - Mostly healers, played by actual females. WHM wife, husband tank groups expected here.

Male Midlander Hyurs - Flaunt their shit.

Female Highlanders - Played mostly by males, their tits bounce excessively. You love when you see them as melee.

Male Highlanders - Those bad-ass kind of guys that get shit done. If they are tanks, you are in good shape. Expect to see some people make characters look like Hildi

Female Roes - Just Hawt, people should play them more.

Male Roes - anything that is mage, makes me cringe. Reminds me of seeing people in ffxi as thief/red-mage............

Female Elezan - Best emotes. EVER. Too bad they look awkward sometimes.

Male Elezan - Flaunt their shit at the zoo.

New Race - Bestiality Confirmed. j/k

Midlander male- future miqo'te female.
Female- Chicks that play with their boyfriend/husband, never stfu about it, & can never help you with anything until he gets home.

Highlander Male- People who wanted their avatar to look like the "Hyur" embodiment of why prison is a bad place to be.
Female- People who like boobs.

Miqo'te- neckbeard and fangirls

Roegadyn males- Normal guy or boys who hope to be big someday.
females- Wait? You mean those AREN'T skinny Roegadyn males?

Lalafells- @ssholes. They've been @sshole players since they were called Taru-taru. @ssholes always play short statured characters.

Elezens- They know all the the primal/raid/dungeon patterns & strategies by heart. Why don't you?!
Males w/facial hair- To piss off fantasy nerds

Au'ra- formerly all of the above, after buying Fantasia. They will cover Eorzea like locusts.

• Hyur Midlanders:
- males, sorry to say but... usually pretty generic and plain... kinda good looking but not really eyecatching... they would be the protagonist in a harem style anime, so they go that going for them XD basically average
- females, kinda the same as the males but prettier, mostly cute and quiet, they would be that cute quiet girl you like, but cant say you do in front of others because everyone else is drooling over that elezen girl over there and you dont want to be left out. they would be that one strangely attractive nerdy girl in teenage movies that suddenly turn into a beauty.

• Hyur Highlanders:
- males... these are divided in 2 ... first one is like PROTEIN OOH YEAAAH!! GIMME MORE CARBS!!, and so on... want to be the leader and focus of the attention; "if you dont like me i will make you fear me instead", the jocks that think are better than all other males but in the end is very insecure. And the other kind is the actual athletes, you know... love sports, sportmanship and fairness, very competitive but also ready to stand up to friends.
- the girls though, the same as the males, divided in 2 groups, one is like GURL POWA! and such, despite the apperance they are not really that into violence and are actually very delicate and feminine. the second is the ahtletes as well, simple as the male ones.


• Miqote Seekers of the Sun:
- the guys are like: "man i am so cool..." but in the end they just want attention, especially becuase they are always in the shadow of the females of their race. in important/dangerous situations they will be the first to act, but not always succeed beucase they didnt really put much thought before acting, but in the end if they looked like a hero in front of others is all good.
- the girls are sassy and provocative, you want them and they know it. they use skimpy outfits not only just because of apperance and showing their guns, but also becuase they just cant stay put, being energetic they just want to run around and do some pranks.

• Miqote Keepers of the Moon:
- males are almost the same as the seekers, but insted of going for the cool hero look, instead chose to go to the loved bad guy road.
- now the girls... they are the aloof, airheads, lazy and strange, you look at them and think: "wth are they doing?" and just cant take your eyes from them. they also use skimpy outfits but at this point i think it is just because they chose the outfit that is easier to wear. 2 good examples of what they would be in other midias is Osaka from azumanga daioh and Luna from harry potter.


• Roegadyn Sea Wolves:
- these guys are also divided in 2 groups, one is the well know gentle giants, big but very caring. the other are the are just simple minded muscle head brutes that try to look the protector everyone wants and needs.
- the girls are the also divided, but not into different groups, just different situations, basically they go from one to the other when the situation calls it; they just want to enjoy life and have a good time without worrying too much, very laidback and sometimes untidy and slovenly. But when needed they are just like sarehptar mentioned, the Onee-sans of the world, they are calm and collected but very doting of their little brother/sister *being you*, there for you, rooting and protecting you. Kinda like Misato from Evangelion.

• Roegadyn Hellsguard:
- As oposed of their Seawolf counterpart, the hellsguard male are mostly just big and scary, just like the seawolfs, they want you to think you need to be protected and he will do it either you want it or not, and you willing to pay for it or not... even if you dont need it. And if you really dont want his protection, he will make you want to give your money to him as a sign of gratitude of him not pummeling you.
- now for the ladies, they are the scary kind of Onee-san, they will bully you, take of your clothes and leave you naked in the middle of nowhere. Fashion is something they have an interesting in, especially the cute stuff, but they cant be seen like that or else they will lose the imposing respect from others, or so they think. Maybe in the end is just their way to show affection? I personaly like to imagine them like the Rogues and Stalkers from Ragnarok Online.


• Elezen Wildwood:
- "Heh, i am so handsome *combs hair back*"; that basically sums up most of males. They might might they are the next hot thing on the planet since Bahamut, but in the end... they might be? it depends on the eyes of the beholder i guess, since so many girls indeed love to gawk at them. But as i said, MOST, the others try to be like that as well, but fail in the end due their lankyness mixed with clumsyness.
- Posh, Rich, Fit, Fashion, Shoes! They are basically Posh Spice from Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham. Pretty attractive, super model-like, some might think they are very superficial and materialistic, and that they indeed are, but they also crave for a true love like from fairy tales. Of course from time to time you have that one country bumpkin girl that is super pretty but really down to earth and not stuck up, who doenst mind doing the work other girls would turn their nose up to, even if it is considered a men´s job.

• Elezen Duskwight:
- the males are almost the same as the wildwood males, but in a different way, instead of thinking they themselves are the best thing ever, they think everything around them is inferior and despicable and if you disagree you better prove it. In regards to themselves, they dont really think they are better than everyone else, even though their way of thinking makes people believe it is so. And differently from Hellsguard femroes, no.. this is not their way to show affection.
- Strange, Dark, Mysterious and Pretty. The girls think like the male Duskwights do, but not so openly and aggressively, keeping most to themselves. They also do not think you should prove it to her, but if you do you will get extra points with her. They look mostly uninterested in everything to who sees her, and she most likely is uninterested in anything actually...


• Lalafell Plainsfolk:
- Males usually aspire to have a mix of cool, handsome and wild look, usually acompanied of some sort of facial hair. they are impatient and very ON YOUR FACE kind of guys, "you will do the way i say to or else...*. Perverted? but of course! every Lala is, after all they see loads of undergarments allday everyday, and sometimes recognise others first by their underwear and then their faces... and dont like to be petted... dont you dare!
- Anime girls, that is what sums up the cute girls. every single personality that an anime girl ever had, the female lalas will have. Cute, Relaxed, Prankster, Fierce, Playful, Serious, Shy, Outgoing, TSUNDERE etc. They basically have the most extreme case of mood swings ever known. these girls are very energetic/hyperactive and cant really stay put even in front of fierce primals. Petted? mixed feelings all around, just try your luck, you might get an happy lala or a hand bitten.

• Lalafell Dunesfolk:
- Males, they are the underdog, the introverted kid you think as weak, but as he stand up to his agressors you root for him. You might even want to try to help him but he will most likely stop you. He will also help those who need at all costs, even if he gets himself covered in bruises. You can pet him whenever you want, even if he doesnt like it he probably wont do anything harmful to stop you.
- "You are too Shy Shy, hush hush ♪", this covers most of it. Cute and shy, innocent and teary, passionate and delicate, these are some of the qualities this lala will have, gets happy and pleased very easily but hurt just as easy. The right girl to love or the perfect victim to abuse... what will you choose? Also.. love to be petted, just go for it.

From what I've gathered, the race the poster is associated with = positive traits, Elezen = arrogant and cocky, Cats = male, regardless of gender, Roes = bros, Hyurs = you're not original if you lack muscle, you are if you have no eyebrows, and Lalafells are perverts who are also lolicon.

Lalafel - not as thru as you think. Most of us don't ryme like taru in XI.

Also most of us are a lot more polite, most taru were very elitist, an do tend to not notice that as much in my fellow lala community. Also, I'm just a happy little lala(tallest I could make) enjoying my time being a hero.

Cats. Mostly guys. I think I've met 1 person who was a cat and was actually a girl.

Roe - evil monsters that hider under lala beds at night, waiting for us to fall asleep so they can eat us. Also, very nice people compared to others

Hyur - nothing special.

Elvs - most of the elitist went to this class.

As someone who has been a Miqo'te > Hyur > Lala > Hyur > Lala and finally Hyur. I could not agree more.

Pretty fascinating how accurate these stereotypes are for us female Roegadyn. I do feel like the big sister/motherly type, as i'm always looking out and caring for others. :)

Lalafell: Cute adorable spunky, full of energy. They can sometimes overcompensate for their size with attitude, especially the boys.
Roegadyn: The strong quiet types. Often have the air of a protective sibling.
Miqo'te: Mischievous and generally up to no good. The boys are haughty and the girls are.. well they're haughty too but cover it in an outward expression of overt fake cuteness.
Elezen: Cerebral elitists who think they are total BAs. Sadly, they often are, so you can't argue with them about it.
Hyur: Gorgeous supermodel heroes.

this is an interesting thread. Can I share my thoughts too?

Miqo'te Female: My Mileage has varied but most of them seem cool. Alot of them tend to have weird skin colors or wear next to nothing. (wonder if I'm weird for always wanting to Armor up mine. Dragoon/Odin armor ftw) Oh and Lightning hair everywhere.
Miqo'te Male: Alot of them have been cool. But Eoreza is full of them. xD
Lalafell Females: Adorable. Wish I could hug them all. <3
Lalafell Male: Tends to take less crap then the other races from what I've seen. Also adorable.
Roe Bros: Awesome folks. All the ones I met have been awesome and funny. Why are there so little of them? D:
Roe Gals: Hardly any of them. Makes me sad. Need more Roe love.
Elezen Males: All the ones I've seen have been cool and Fabulous.
Elezen Females: There are more of them than the Roe Gals on my server but still hardly any of them.
Hyur male and female: None of them have stood out to me. They're just so...plain.

Sorry.. I have no intention to offend or hurting anybody, this is just from my personal point of view. Mostly what I encounter are like that, I have miqo'te friend that is actually girl IRL, but only 2 from Scotland & Singapore the rest are male.

If there's a prick in the party/raid, 9/10 times its a male miqote pld with dark color dyeing scheme on equipment, with a heterosexual male behind the keyboard.
