Admittedly, it gets old when it's attached to a skill in someone's rotation, but for most players Resurrection shouldn't be in their rotation. It's a really, really bad sign if it is. :)

I had the experience as tank when a healer had the macro with sound effect attached to his Cure. .. No need to guess how annoying it was to the point I had to tell him to turn that shit off or get kicked..
L...M...F...A...O....
I bet the first few times were like, WTF...?
Then, "he really has that attached to his cures..."
I have a special macro for those times when someone is sound and macro happy (tied to rotation skills and all),
It's a 15 liner that describes the honey badger and each line is separated by 15 of the 16 sounds we can use, and I try my darndest to use as much auto translate as possible.
I'm up for a concise and immediate notice to any other swiftcast user to don't waste it:
/p Resurrect: <t> <se.3>
Rarely use it because I have low tolerance for macro spam but:
"I {raise} you, <t>, up so you can stand on mountains! I {raise} you, <t>, up to walk on stormy seas!"
Props to anyone who understands the reference :o
/p Casting raising <t> <se.11>
/wait 1
/p "Next time you'll stay dead"
I usually use the German version but if I try to translate it it would be among the lines of:
The way you play <t> rezzing is more mana efficient than healing.
Was either yesterday or the day before, but during a Ramuh Ex party the other healer had a resurrection macro that was quoting Princess Bride.
"look who knows so much! It just so happens that [character name] is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive."
I got a good laugh out of it :D
/p "Bueller... Bueller... Bueller?"
"Only death by snu-snu is allowed. {Resurrection} on <t>."
/p Jesus took 3 days to resurrect, but I can do it in 8 seconds... {raise} <t>
I've got swiftcast stacked on top of raise (to save space), so I can't really have a raise message that works all the time since I might use only the swiftcast without the raise. I still need to add it, but the text I'm planning on is:
"If you are <t> and you're currently dead, then congratulations! You're about to be un-dead! ((Raise)) Otherwise, I'm using my ((Swiftcast)) to avoid becoming a necromancer."
i have the best one
/p Raising <t>
/p "Good news <t>! I did the math, and you have a 42% chance to not die a horrible, horrible death!"
And if I have to raise again...
/p "You're makin' me use the adrenaline ain't ya <t>? Is that the in thing these days? Resurrection!"
My Rez macro
Zapp Brannigan - Stop Exploding you Cowards
My new raise macro...
/ac "Swiftcast"
/shout Get up! Get up! Come on <t>! Can't you get it up for me!? You don't love me anymore!
/wait 1
/ac "Raise" <t>
Embarassment on two fronts... shout to let people know the target died, AND that they have ED.
/p <t>!!! Don't just lie around there, minion! Get up and crush my enemies!
/p Nooooooo <t>!! Don't step into the light!
/wait 1
/p Those lights are called AoE-indicators, and you will get hurt if you step into them...
Remember one from the cutest little lalafell.
"No! You're too cute to die!"
I recently saw a Raise macro using the RMT "Existence is reasonable, let's make things better" shpeel xD
I had to double-take because I thought I really did get an RMT message just then.
When I get a raise with a macro, I don't take it with embarrassment - nor do I use it as a "look at this player lololol he dieded". Most people can see that you're dead from the party list.
I did, however, start using it after I saw another WHM I was partnered with use it a while back - and I realized I was able to use that as an indication that I no longer have to worry about raising that person while I'm healing someone else/focused elsewhere in the mean time. Just a 'Hey, I got this guy'.
Also, like someone else mentioned, it does lighten the mood depending on the message. That RMT message certainly made my run, even if I was the one that hit the floor xD;
I've also seen some pretty funny provoke macros - "Oh no you don't <t>, that's MY squishy!" (or something similar)
Was on NIN in WoD the other night so I got to see a few macro's lol. The one that stuck out wen't something like :<T>!!!, your subscription to LIFE has expired. If you wish to continue, press the accept button, if not, thanks for wasting my mana!!"
/macroicon "Resurrection"
/ac "Resurrection"
/s Now Ressurecting <t>.
Side effects include but arn't limited too: Vomiting, loss of limbs, dizzyness, and a craving for brains. Resserecting is not for everyone.
Please consult your healer before dieing.
"arise..."
/wait 3
"...chicken"
None of these are funny, nor clever.
Thread was resurrected.
Well thank you whoever rezzed this thread. May as well list mine before letting this thread sink back down to... whatever page it was at before getting a new post.
"/p The game isn't over until the last card is played! On your feet <t>! Raise!<se.7>
And one specifically as an AST...
"/p I activate the magic card Monster Reborn! I special summon <t> in attack mode!<se.7>"
The Brave Don't Fear The Grave... anybody?
Accidentally I found this thread so i felt my duty to res it and post my macro :) hope it wont sink so easily again :)
It's almost a requirement as AST to have a cheesy YuGiOh macro. Mine is "I summon <t> from the graveyard, and place them in Attack Mode!"
My SCH/SMN macro is "Move your dead bones, <t>!", a reference to this classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BnOUOkcr9c
My WHM has a macro that says "Dammit <t>! I'm a healer, not a necromancer!"
