did 6 wp runs, no atm..i mean blood, here we go again

Did each dungeon once:

AV drop
HM no drop
Pharos drop
AK no drop

Most of my LS members that are doing it are from 1/3 - 1/2 on getting drops. The comparisons to atma are laughably pathetic. Maybe a comparison to how the atma is right now, but this and original atma don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.


EDIT: I don't know if it's been mentioned, but you don't need to have your Novus weapon equipped, or even be on the class that you are doing the relic chain on to get the drop. A nice change for those of us that absolutely hate doing dungeons in the same role, or just like to change things up every once in a while.

Do you mean an RNG drop? Because that's quite different than an Atma-like drop. Atma had a very low % chance of dropping, it would take more than 4 runs of WP if it were Atma-esque. I also don't think 4 runs of 1 dungeon is a large enough sample size to base how high or low the % drop rate is off of, though. It could very well be very low %, but I don't think enough time has passed for us to really know that for sure.

I ran WP with an fc mate earlier and she got it on the 2nd run. A LS member got theirs on the 3rd run. I'm sitting at 5 runs no drop, but I'm optimistic given my peers' experiences. (Famous last words? :p)

I just don't like how they made it inefficient to do these quests with your friends. :/ As soon as someone gets a drop and you don't, its time wasted that they could be spent advancing their own relic.

Do you guys think these quests are one and done, and then we get our i125?

So...crafted items....sellables or unsellables?
If it's the former....well might as well get ready to sell a kidney, their price on the MB will be insane lol.
If it's the later.....it's pretty stupid, why do you need to level a crafter to do DoW content?

I just worked on getting my i115 Shiva weapon and dumped my Novus into one of my Retainers. Possibly the best decision I've made in this game to date. That way you can help one friend get their thing while you get some Sol/Poe on the side... granted, that's if you really feel like doing the boring old dungeons again.

I don't mind buying the NPC mats. I don't mind farming dungeons or primals. But, the day you put in three-star crafted items, is the day I say FU to the relic quest. Talk about only catering to the already rich, the want-to-be-rich and the greedy crafters who want to charge insane amounts of Gil for thirty seconds of their time.

Or have some FC buddies who have all crafters on 4-Star level and be happy. Socializing ftw.

SE likes when those RMT's buy new accounts just as much as banning them 3 months later after selling gil to so many. I'm sure SE is just trying to keep crafting and gathering relevant, right. SE has to somehow. :rolleyes:

Sounds like you need to make a crafter friend. Better yet join an FC with crafters and you will get it for free

Clearly we loved low RNG with the Atma the first time, right guys?

Yup, now every chance has to be in specific dungeons and takes 15 minutes+ (longer for some since some of these have level sync like AV) instead of a couple minutes per FATE.

Plus RNG with desynth.

30 sec for a craft.

But what about the time people have to invest to be able to craft a 3 star item??

Sorry for being offtopic, but I couldn't find information on this anywhere else:

How does the diamond dust thing work? Is it like mirror of the whorl, but a guaranteed drop everyone rolls on? That's like the german patchnotes make it sound. In the english version it sonds more like every player gets a piece of diamond dust automatically with the kill, but if that's true, do you need multiple of them since they're called pieces?

Nearly nothing with the new patch, getting artisan gear is really easy now

The whole quest is made for those who already finished everything before the patch...
The whole relict thing i can not recommend to beginners, just skip it and do not toutch it...

I just ran a total of 5 Copper HM and 1 Haukke manor... 0... But got the WP blood in one go.. and this is using a tank which still has novus..
Confirmed that the drop notification appears like atma when it's on loading black screen after click exit..

It may sound silly, but i'd like to know something: when completing these dungeons ... do you need to be on the job you're wanting to enhance your relic on? Like the Nexus stage?

This may be the point where I give up on my relic.

Any confirmation on where to get the "Aged" stuff?

at this point a relic cost just as much as getting a gatherer/crafter to 3 star LOL that is if the prices of the mats stays overpriced.

Nope, you can be on whatever class. My relic is BRD and I have gotten all my items on PLD so far.

Right now I am 1/4 Wanderers Place, 1/1 Aurum Vale, 1/2 Haukke Hard, 0/1 Copperbell Hard. I did more of the first 3 after I got the items cause I was tanking for a party of my friends and we reran them for the rest.

And then you need to desynthesize it to get the mat that is needed for the 'final' item. But dw, it's easy to get.

yea. at lv50 desynth its abou 40% desynth rate. good thing its easy to lvl up desynth?

What desynth class is the aged item? I cant look now since im at work.

I think that the drop rate is far better than atma ever was. I hear things like 4-5 runs max for a drop. could it be a 10-15% drop rate??

I think all 8 classess is a pretty safe bet. So one would have to get a desynth up than back down for another to get up LOL

Maybe its the lucky ones that post things like that, but since its dungeons, it CANNOT be 1%, those runs are between 10-25 mins.... it MUST be around 10% or something

It's pretty much this, I checked it earlier out of my own curiosity and saw that. Not really too happy about it since people with Carpentry desynth leveled (btw they're roughly equivilant to desynthing an i55-60 piece of equipment) aren't too easy to find, and I'm not about to jump up and level all 8 skills to be able to do my own Relic upgrade, this was probably a huge mistake on SE's part, but time will tell. If nothing else, a few people might try and corner the market on one or two of the less common items that the majority of people who actually do desynthing don't level out of it being nearly useless in other areas of the game.
