Yeah I would be really disappointed if a damage-dealer weren't a Job option for the Gunner at release... I like the idea of a Healer Gunner too but damage-dealer deserves to come first or with.
Yeah especially since we have no "pure" ranged DD.

Well SE actually split it into TANK, HEALER, RANGED DPS, MELEE DPS
Come tuesday that ratio will be 2 - 2 - 3 - 3
So adding a Tank and Healer actually evens the field completely. I was hoping for more than 2 jobs, but looking at it this way it makes sense to just add a tank and healer.
I only ask if the gun class is a healer, that it's chemist and not agent, and a mix mechanic is used like ninjas mudras but a lot more forgivingly. (no chance of failure).

I alluded to it being wrong to make those kinds of assumptions.
Never did I say I had made that assumption (in fact, I've suspected it would be a healer all along, specifically Chemist).
I'm speaking on behalf of those who've waited with the impression it would be a DPS.
Someone said it would be nice to have a healer job that could do ranged attacks....
