Cute DoL Familliars: A Gathering Companion

Best suggestion thread I've ever seen on the official forums. Wish I could /like it twice!

Wow I totally missed this thread when it was made, awesome idea.

This is a great idea.

I remember early in FFXI, as a WHM, when I got my Apollo's staff I would always sub /smn just so I could have a furry friend following me around all the time.

No wonder I went on to become a full time Beastmaster :3

I don't often say this, but I 100% support your idea OP. I hope they do something like that in the future!

Agreed. I demand gathering companions!

I think I already gave my support for this one way back, but here I am again! As someone who fishes 99% of the time, I'd love a little friend to keep me company, maybe even hold my extra fish.

But I want moogle as botanist companion

I want a Lalafell named Raidrien Ascher to be my companion/bait for when I go fishing. :3

Would like this very much! Though I don't care for Spriggans very much... Maybe we can find something cuter for miners.
But yes, some extra defense besides being half invisible and walking slow would be nice. Heck, pets in general are nice. I'd love to have a pet mandragora living in my FFXIV house when housing comes out. :B As well as a ram. Two cutest mobs ever.

Haha I wanted to see what happens when an actually valuable thread gets necro bumped :P
Although this idea need some tinkering like adapting pets depending on how your raise them and the fact that the idea for these little critters was originally concieved at a time when DoL didn't have stealth to avoid enemy encounter. All I know is it has so much support the devs better make it happen lol

also had a thought: moogles are already pretty involved with the Botanist, maybe its the moogles that find you a companion? You prove your worth to them and they charm you up a companion!
