...Damn, I didnt even think of that. Now I know what I'm getting with sol tomes next week! *happydance*

A better solution would be to make the Ramuh ring 110. It would give people like the OP a second ring, and give people a reason to actually run Ramuh Ex. Two birds, 1 stone.
I vote no to this.
Instead, make Ramuh EX ring upgradeable to i110 through oils or something else (please no terrible drop rate from Ramuh EX -__-). Win win. Another i110 option, and actual reason to do Ramuh EX. It is annoying for raiders as well. Who knows when T9 ring will decide to drop and we stop seeing the same stupid loot each week...
Wait... aren't the jewelry pieces listed as "All Classes"? Why can't you just get a ring that matches your job, then another ring meant for another job with decently favorable stats? It's not ideal, sure, but it's something.
I only know this because I was contemplating, as a tank, getting a bunch of Gloam jewelry to buff my DPS potential for Frontlines.
Since when did ilvl prove you're pro? I have the tank ring from coil and the difference is only minute. Heck I still have the allagan bracers from BC1 since I think the weathered stuff has crap stats and I'm holding out for the High allagan bracers in t6. The current system is fine the way it is.
It really isn't though. There is too limited options right now. While I don't agree with the OPs removal of 'Unique', there is certainly room for more options. It isn't all about tanks either. Some classes suffer from terrible stats on at least one of their options, and the i110 alternative isn't even as good. With only two i110 options, this leaves some i100s better then i110 unfortunately, and others waiting on RNGeezus to bless them in Coil that they clear week after week. Its just poor design overall.
Usually this is actually far, far worse than getting a "job appropriate" i100 ring. For example, suppose I'm a bard. So my soldiery ring is an Auroral Ring, whose primary stat is dexterity. But now, if I for whatever reason can't get my hands on a High Allagan Ring of Aiming, I don't have any other i110 choices for rings that work for damage. The closest thing would be a Gloam Ring... which doesn't contribute even one point of dexterity. Which makes it far, far, -far- worse than an i100 ring (like Judgment or a weathered Auroral), because you're dropping 16-18 points of your most important stat.
The difference might not be much numerically, but anyone who looks at your equipment and sees you have a High Allagan Ring of Fending? They know you're skilled enough to clear the hardest battle in the entire game (barring Savage). Anyone worth their salt in this game by this point knows that ilvl doesn't mean much at all. What primarily matters is your skill, the content you're able to clear. I have two different classes at i97 but I wouldn't even try to pretend that I'm top-tier in this game, because I haven't yet cleared Twin.
git gud and start clearing coil
You can get i110 without the High Allagan ring. You just need to get the High Allagan weapon. http://backloggery.com/images/smileys/science.gif
Only from people who are morons. o.o High Allagan gear usually is a mark of respect. The only time I'd expect to see retorts like that would be if someone starts being an elitist dickbag and lording their gigantic High Allagan E-Peen of Pompousness over the rest of the group.
[QUOTE=Exstal;2335124
Somewhat to the point of your i110 crusade, one can pug all turns except turn 4 with reasonable success so, I believe those who aren't trying Coil right now are either one of two things. Lazy or liability.
[/QUOTE]
Did you consider that everyone isnt 12 yrs old. Some ppl have a life outside of the game. Most ppl have a job. Me for instance. Im followin differenr schedules each week, sometimes I gotta take an extra shift. I cant join a static cause I cant aleays show up when needed.
And cause my life is busy according to you, im lazy or bad.
This guy...
You're lazy and/or bad if you don't try to pug Coil when you do have time. Turn 6/7 parties are up on PF all the time on my server and I can only imagine that some percent of them succeed. You don't need a static to clear individual turns of SCOB each week, just gumption and willingness to try.
I rarely see coil in Pf. If I do it says "must have kill exp" and well I dont really wanna play with ppl who expect so much. I got so much stuff to do in the game and sitting in pf waiting for a full group to join is nothing high on my priority list. And I assume its gonna be drama if we would wipe and someone would get kicked and then we need to wait for new ppl.
Id rather do a fun dungeon in df(even though theyre a bit too easy) than going through partied with angry ppl.
Edit: alright finally im home so I dont need to type on the phone.
What you don't consider is that this game is more than just 4 end game dungeons. When I play I'd rather level some crafting, or gathering classes, maybe another class.
I don't really care about gear cause it doesn't matter anyway, next patch it's gonna be obsolete so I don't see the point. It's a very boring system by SE. But I enjoy the other parts of the game, like collecting glamours and stuff.
And according to you I'm lazy or bad cause I enjoy other stuff in the game
Well if you're not crying about not being i110 then I have to issue with you. I spend most of my time in game crafting, since coil only takes about an hour for my raid group. You're only lazy and bad if you're complaining that endgame raid gear isn't being handed to you for free since you're too lazy/bad to get it yourself.
I don't think anyone is complaining about raid gear (High Allagan) not being handed to people, I think OP is talking about soldiery gear (which is no longer raid gear) and its unique status, others also raise a good point about soldiery rings being BiS and not being able to equip two or the possibility to upgrade Ramuh ring to 110 to have a second BiS option for some classes.
If you have almost full 110 gear you should just start doing coil to get the ring. Start your own group or use the party finder if you are new.
We don’t have any plans to change the system to allow you to use the same unique ring, and instead would like to focus on creating new rings for use in the future.
Why would anyone care about getting i110 if you don't do coil? It's like wanting end-game crafting gear for not crafting...why? There's no content in the game that requires it or it would be as beneficial to as it would be to coil. Yes, it would help with hunts, Odin, and Behemoth but you don't really need it as much for those.
Ramuh Extreme offers a ilvl 100 ring..
Too bad everyone is too busy doing hunts to not care to farm him though.
But why was Ramuh i100 then? this makes no since if the development team truly beleaved this Ramuhs rings would be i100 upgradable to i110 or they would be i110. We don't believe statements like this because everyone can see they aren't real. if you believed what you said ramuh would be i110.
in a world of i110 gear whats the point of an i100 ring? the first primals were i90 when i90 was rarer then i110 is. if ramuh logic was applied to the first set of primal ex's they would have had lvl 80 gear. Don't even get me started on ramuh's weapons being the 4th i100 weapon in the game. As well as unlimited drops, while i90 EX primals are still stuck to once a week for their weapon.
I said still. at the time yes i90 was locked for a reason. now in 1 day can do all of these - build 2 zeniths, farm 5 weapons from levi, and upgrade an i100 UATweapon to i110.
Yeah, but ilvl 100 is not the max level now. Excluding Coil, back then ilvl 90 was the "top" weapon, that's why it was restricted. Ramuh weapons cannot be upgraded, while Animus and sold weapons can be. Again, it IS balanced.
It is a little silly they call it unique especially since every adventurer can technically own one. If I was a collector and someone sold me a unique piece of art only to find out everyone has one I would be outraged. They should just remove the rings from sale once you buy one or grey them out so there's no confusion. And this would be a permanent change tough luck if you accidentally discard it. This would make the unique aspect of the item valid.
I think i110 should be rewarded for the harders content. It's fair primals don't have the hightest ilvl, unless they make them truly on par with Coil.
If you want another i110 ring, you can do Coil. I don't think you do judging from your lodestone profile? It seems like you bought all soldiery and ran hunts to get sands to upgrade to i110. Isn't that fair enough to boost your ilvl? Or are you saying that you want to get every single slot to i110 w/o doing Coil?
It has nothing to with "we don't believe statements like this". It's rather common sense. Btw, you don't believe it, plenty of us do not even see this as a matter to believe in or not. Hardest content = i110.
Not sure why your insulting me for getting the best gear I have access to . I was completing Coil 1 t1-t4 since the end of November up until the patch where we could farm it. I missed 2 weeks. I only got 1 piece of allagan casting gear the entire 4 months ish it was, and I was the only caster in the group. Our summoner is currently having the same issue. only item that has dropped is the the ring which is awful for him. I had a job change and my old group broke up. I joined a new group to help them out who was just starting C2 at this time until I got a new job(in which my schedule would probably change). We took a couple weeks off here and there and start t8 this week. I have both rings. but because I have so many sands/oils(my own work yes) I give the summoner priority over everything but pants, earing, and ring(this I have). the problem is you say the hardest content and ramuh is the exact same as the first set of primals, just he drops lower ilvl gear. His fight is just as hard, his ilvl is lower in compared to what titan and ifrits EX's was to ours when they came out.
The plenty of us who do tend to be the people playing at launch if your someone whos just started playing at PS4 launch ramuh makes more since, thining about it most of the community I know has played since launch. You can see it in the forums the launch community needs more relevant stuff. Very few people I know even care to beat ramuh because he drops absolutely 0 for any of our main/secondary jobs. it would be a ring for our 3rd or 4th off class job at this point.
And you think that having fully unweathered soldiery gear aside from 1 ring slot is not enough for T8? Fyi many groups cleared T8 with less than i100 gear and i100 weapons (before the hunt loot pinata). You are already overgeared for the encounter and still complaining.
And as a blm, its shocking to think that you don't know that the Ramuh caster ring is bis, provided you meet the accuracy cap.
Smh.
or you know there are things called spell speed builds where ha ring is BiS, or if I want to maximize myself for dungeons I already over gear so badly that with QS up I take hate constantly. I got my stuff, by doing work, it's not that hard. AS it seems y'all don't want to see anything other then your own views, and according to you working(in bothr rl and game) is bad and any player who works for their gear is a bad player, thats some very bad logic "dude bro". I'm stopping here. I can count ls,upon ls, and fc upon fc, who only do ramuh for glamour/mount, there have been other posters and other threads about this issue. Having 2 i110 rings is not customization options when we have 2 slots.
However this is all assuming that in 2.4 we will get i130 gear like in 2.2. If they change thigns up and we only go to i120 or something strange then the ring will hold more relevance.
Maybe someone already said this, I'm not sure, but just because the Ramuh rings are i100, does not mean that they are not good. Actually, a few of the Ramuh rings are arguably best in slot compared to high allagan/soldiery rings. For instance, the judgement ring of healing is best in slow compared to the high allagan ring of healing for sch and arguably for whm based on spell speed values. The judgment ring of casting is also best in slot for smn and arguably blm if you don't require the acc from high allagan ring. It is a closer comparison for blm because blm relies more on spell speed then summoner does. High allagan ring of slaying has skill speed and acc, whereas the judgement ring of slaying has determination and crit rate. Again, depending on accuracy, the judgement ring of slaying pull ahead in pure dps just because of off stats.
TLDR: Do Ramuh, it is not pointless, and it is actually a very fun fight with cool music and mechanics
Or how about a second ring with different stats? Maybe have one ring with +15 Skill Speed and one with +15 Critical Hit? That would make more sense.
