I "finally" caught Meteor Survivor in the Salt Strand, Lower La Noscea, at 3:43 am in Overcast weather using Rat Tails, Gathering Rate 373. This all falls within the current posted guidelines. Just posting this to confirm that the current posted guidelines are so far accurate. With a Desynthesis Skill of 86.79, I had a 62.00% chance of success, which I predictably failed.
Added - Southern Thanalan - Zahar'ak - Discobolus - Glowworm - Heatwave - 1 pm to 2 pm - Gathering <374

I caught a Cupfish in the Blind Iron Mines, Lower La Noscea, at 5:53 pm in Wind weather using Syrphid Basket, Gathering Rate 373. This all falls within the current posted guidelines. Just posting this to confirm that the current posted guidelines are so far accurate. With a Desynthesis Skill of 86.79, I had a 62.00% chance of success, in which I got an ounce of Minium and one Water Crystal.

Friend told me a theory that the higher the perception, the bigger the fish is and, the bigger it is, the more chance it runs away.
Not sure if there's any truth in this, could just be rng after all.
On the website (http://na.ff14angler.com), someone caught Old Hollow Eyes around 2pm during Fog weather using a Copperfish mooch. I caught one myself around 11pm (also during Fog), so it's available at least from 2pm - 11pm. I didn't use food or fc buff for this one as I kinda forgot to, so Gathering stat was 359.
LevinLight - Everschade fishing hole - Central Shroud - Syrphid Basket - 8 pm to 11 pm - Gathering rate <382
I'm looking at what we have left, and I am guessing that Haukke Manor will be Bloodbath from a Honey Worm to Silverfish (HQ) mooch (or) Midge Basket to Ala Mhigan Fighting Fish (HQ) mooch.
I am also thinking that Sweetnewt will be found in the Lavender Beds.
Terpischorean has something to do with dancing. Can anyone think of a way this might fit into one of the remaining fishing spots?
Was checking on the Anomalocaris.
http://jp.ff14angler.com/fish/285 shows that they were mostly caught in the daytime while you have it in the nighttime, I myself went to fish there during nighttime and barely got a bite.
North Bronze Lake - King of the Spring - Spinnerbait - 4 pm to 5 pm - Fog - Gathering Rate <372
If you see this Torquere I just want to say thanks for plugging my spreadsheet. :D
Had no idea, was only just informed by one of my contributors, Kyru.
Thanks again :D
Got the gathering insufficient message at 367 gathering when trying to catch the frill shark. Seems like there is no weather/time constraint since someone else posted they caught it at 1 pm with windy/gale weather and I got the message at 8 pm with fog.
edit -
I forgot, it could also be conditional weather since it also gives that message. Though the time might not be accurate, I need to fish more when the weather is active and at different time since the person who told me didn't have a screenshot to confirm if he is right or not.
Caught a twitchbeard with 348 gathering.
If you can read Japanese, please translate - specifically - What is a Bull fly ??

Is 380 confirmed as the minimum gathering for some of these fish? Thats quite a lofty number . . . even with Supra
