No it's not/won't.

Just a clarification. It was never said that they CAN'T be kicked. But I am asking for it to be detailed that if they can, what would happen to the individual's room. Right now all we know is they can't leave while their room exists. I am looking for some understanding of what would happen if I kick someone with a room or if it won't be allowed.
300 k i can make in a few days at most so no biggie. Question i have is those it take up space you have in your home already?
Like for FC's with small houses were their be little room as is, just wondering
No, it will be a separate room that takes up no space in the house. If you watch the 2.3 trailer you can see the door he walks through to get to his personal area. In addition, the devs have stated that the personal room will not change size based on the size of the house, so your personal room will be the same regardless.
If you put furniture in your FC house, can you move it to your new personal room? We have a few members that put in personal affects that might want to migrate that into their own spaces.
FC personal rooms are a cheaper alternative to personal housing.
That said, it kinda feels like a punch in the gut to have spent millions on an FC house and then be charged again for a room.
It wouldn't be a big deal, if spending the money did something FOR the FC and didn't just disappear into nothingness.
It's not about how much it costs for me(and presumably others) it's about being charged and then being charged again.
It'll be the only option for a while, depending on how they do personal housing.
Even I have over 300k. Me. The guy who hardly actually plays the game.
I agree with some posters here. 300k is nothing.
I'm hoping it's like an instance. If you leave one FC for another, you get to use your room, just it's in a different HQ if that makes sense. If you leave a FC, then you'll prolly lose access to your room, but join another and you'll regain access through their HQ.
I agree I would like this answered...
If someone has a room with items in it, can they still get kicked from a FC if they are causing problems, or will they have to clear out the room first?Quote:
Q: If I leave my free company what will happen to my private chamber?
A: As of patch 2.3, if you don't clear out your room you won't be able to leave your free company. However, a new feature that will clear out your room automatically upon leaving a free company is currently in development.
- If they can't be kicked without clearing out the room and they refuse can they be reported and will the GM's actually do something?
- If they can be kicked without clearing out the room what happens to the room and the items?
- If they move to a new FC will they auto get a new room since it's already paid for or will they have to spend another 300k?
Please respond~! I'm just curious because this could change the way leaders accept new players into their FC's.
Is it known whether the room will have full inn room functionality?
I can't believe people think 300k are "a lot" in this game.
Not every server is a legacy server, though non-legacy do have their small share of gillionaires. It isn't unrealistic to think 300k is "a lot" for a good chunk of the player-base. This is a gil sink qol feature. SE wouldn't implement a price like this otherwise.
Really depends on how much you make. Not everyone crafts, gathers, farm items from enemies, exploits prices on the market board, sends retainers on continuous ventures, finds other ways of making decent amounts of gil, etc.
I've never had much more than 500k at one time, so 300k is expensive to me.
That is um...great? I'm a non-legacy player playing on a legacy server and I generally only carry around 5-700k on me at a time. 300k would be nearly half my assets. While I don't mind spending 300k on a personal room, others might not want to part with that much of their total gil so easily.
What are you even using your gil for, guys? You can only get richer and richer in this game if you don't do stupid things like "buy all the materia for 100k when 2.35 launched"
Farm a couple of dungeons, sell the myth items. You should have more than 300K easily in a couple of days.
If you wanna take it easy like me, just do retainer stuff and your dailies. You'll still have over 300K in a week or so.
lol hopefully they will answer it... XD
And I agree, I don't think 300k is a lot. Heehee
But I also don't think people should have to repurchase a room if they have already paid for it either. Which is why I hope they respond to my questions~! Once it's bought, if someone moves FC's for whatever reason, the room should change over to the new FC house... if they have a FC house imo. :)
I'm in Taruranto's boat as well. I started on a non-legacy server as well. I haven't gotten into crafting yet, I think my highest is a lvl 4-8 Alchemist or something. I do my dailies every day, treasure hunts once ever week or two and not much else besides that. I'm sitting on 4.5 mil. Gil is really not that hard to obtain in the game. But I can't go spoiling all my secrets, even though they're not that secret. IMO it just takes some common sense and initiative on selling items.
I kinda struggle with gil but just like everyones saying its really not too important.
the only thing I dont agree with is that they put it in the FC's house.
for 300k per player it should b something that EVERYONE can pertisipate in regardless if your in a FC OR if ur FC even has a house.
I believe it should be something to access through an npc or "door" near the Inn Keeper or make some kind of residential zone for private rooms.
It being linked to the FC housing is dumb
