Delay the Rogue/Ninja class till expansion.

exactly, so i don't understand why ppl are whining about DF...you don't even need to do it.
at start of ARR, there were sooo many ppl doing FATE grind, if you were quick enough, you could get gold medal and finish FATE in a few seconds=very fast XP.
You can just FATE spam to 50, and que some instance while you do FATEs.
And then in a week or 2, things will have evened out, to how it is now.

This forum has caused a lot of changes to happen for this game, it is the very reason this forum exists so SE can read our thoughts and make judgments based on our opinions. So...yes. I've seen that all the time on this forum when SE responds and leaves a crown on a thread.

Remember that this is a forum of multiple people and "players" aren't just one hivemind. You've also misunderstood the OP entirely as he was wanting more classes, but not before adding more Tanks and Healers so the Duty Finder issue won't be so prevalent and worsen due to more DPS being added with only 2 Tanks and 2 Healers in the game.

Precisely. I usually can get a FC member at the very least to tank or heal for me, making the queue cake in comparison. Otherwise, I put on a movie and chill out.

I totally agree with your concern. I was joking to friends that whatever town has the quest is going to go into lockdown from max population capacity... or the server will crash, one of the two. Hell, I don't have every class maxed out and you bet your ass I'm going to be unlocking this new class asap. If they offer new tank and healers too (thank goodness!), I'll be unlocking those as well. I SINCERELY hope SE isn't so short sighted on this and offers more than just one new class with this patch.

But SE have never said NIN has DPS roll.
NIN might has TANK roll, might has new roll.

Heck No. Other games have had 1 class releases and did just fine. World of warcraft looks and laughs at you hardcore. They won't delay based of how they handled releasing Scholar at 1.0 release.

I agree with OP I said this much yesterday in my FC and the person I said this too left angered by my *opinion*...I have the exact same concerns as the OP, unfortunately, people only see the flavour of the day, the new shiny thing, there is only one thing to do in these situations, just wait, lay back and later on, EVENTUALLY say to all....! I did say it would be a nightmare.

Your petition wont have the favour of the populace because populace want new, they dont really care or dont want to care about balance, consequences, and the like. I am glad I only have my monk as DPS to level still, after that I will have a tank. I for sure will level ninja but not right off, only once the waters became calmer.

When all are goign to complain that DF is impossible, that PF only wants super powerful players, I will be able to start levelling ninja because then all would be back to...tank and healers.(ironie here)

People will obviously unlock it and level it when it pops

The ones that have one or more jobs at 50 will be like just leveling another one, and new players will have more starting choices

eventually the flow will balance and eventually we will get more jobs

instead of complaining try to take advantage of the situation, craft stuff for the horde of people leveling it, level a tank or healer (and blame your errors on the new class) etc.

The transilator did say in so many words NIN was a DPS class which is why they clairfied that the Tanks and Healers will come in the expansion.

However, we still have part 2 of the live letter to come and being that its going to be JP and not an english version I'm going to bet that they have a few more announcements to make perhaps even another class/job and probably some more to do with that cheeky grin Yoshida pulled when asked about Cortheas ... I'm pretty sure there will be more.

How is it that people complain when they get something at all? Can't be happy that they are adding something NEW and just let the situation handle itself? Just rather doom say and worry rather than just have a good time? Here is an idea: play a tank. You get all the ques you need in the duty finder or blacksmith and take advantage of the need for their weapons. Cripes, people are friggen spoiled these days.

1.- Overplayed
and? with the 2.4 we don't only have the new class, we will have a new tier added, most hardcore and people will try this content before begin level up a new class.

2.- Duty Finder is not Balanced
that not them fault and nothing they can do can solve this, the trouble lie in the player, they play what they want. most player want to be a ranged dps, less risk a lot of big number! and for information, at high level you have less melee dps than ranged Dps, in chaos server, i have almost instant dungeon as monk.

3.- An oportunity to Balance things and make experience better
it's easier to balance a game if you add one class at the time than while adding a ton of them, imagine all the possibility they need to test out... mindblowing!

you are simply lacking any comons knowledge about the game and devellopement for use this sort of reason for ask...what? to wait more? some player play to that game since the start of the V1 and have all the class already 50 for age... and you ask them to wait for more longer before add new content that will offer them something?

was me or yoshida says that they working on a Healer and tank class/job to the expansion? they didnt talk to much about because maybe:

1. They gonna show something more lately in E3, or...
2. They rush to create a class to show something in E3 to mitigate the petitons of player base and keep working in the other two class.

yoshida says too that the expansion is way long so 2.4 maybe come late in 2015, and show something more in E3 2015....

This must be the only mmo where people complain about new content being added, all other MMos forums flood with "give new stuff now" with XIV it's "take away stuff now"

Who said only Ninja will be introduced in 2.4? It's still about 4 months away you know.

OP - Your fear of having no tanks is very well founded.

Altough it's called an MMO - the % of peeps that are rude and bashing others, no matter the class, just bec they can, is astounding and repulsive.

That said.. There will be a bunch of Ninjas for sure (I for one will same my atma for it ^^) But Since My main is PLD (for now - SAM woot!) I will continue to help.. my FC and LS friends over DR and PF from others anyday.

For me a game is about fun. Fun soloing, fun with my GF, fun with my FC mates, and mates from other FCs that I enjoy with.

The trend (I can point SE for this ridiculous myth acquisitions) is to SR everything, not waiting for new players or old players that are less than good for them..

It's really not fun.

If you have no fun in a game.. what's the point?

So I am pretty sure I am not alone, that other Tanks are fed up with attitude, or even some Tanks will have attitude (sigh) it never ends.

If you are scared of missing a tank, come join us, it will be a pleasure to help and have fun ^^

*be warned we can have wipe, deaths and all the fluff that comes with it! Fun goes in many ways ;)

Magic DPS: SMN (bec I want more Egis muahahhahaa)

The thing with the DF-Finder was my thought too. Oh how I'm gonna see you all screaming "I'M WAITING SINCE 4 HOURS FOR DF! FUUUUUCK YOU SQUARE ENIX!!!!!!" - maybe I'll join with my Paladin just to leave the dungeon right at the start so all your waiting will be meaningless, muhahaha.

Oh and I can see the revival of the FATE-lvl-Train. just 200 Rogues grinding FATEs, since they can't level else (because DF obviously won't work with that many Rogues and no Tanks and healers).

However: Tomorrow we get to see the Musketeer-Class and it will be, oh surprise, a Tank! That will help a bit to smooth it.

Nope. I want to leap in the air and stab monsters in their eyes as soon as possible.

It wasn't the end of the world when ACN was released, and it probably won't be the end of the world next time, either. Slightly longer queues for a week or two, most likely, but groups will still happen and plenty of people will still queue for tank and healer roles in dungeons. Plenty of people will get Rogue to 50 within the first couple of days, and others will play it for a bit and decide they don't like it.
