Q6: The Trials of the Braves are supposed to be ancient texts that showcase the deeds of the Zodiac Brave heroes, but why are modern imperial weapons shown in the book?
A6: The Trials of the Braves is an ancient text that was translated into a current Eorzea edition. Just as Jalzahn explains, it traces the deeds of the Zodiac Braves and if you put it into terms of Eorzea currently, it’s lore is similar to that monster...

Q21: What kind of rewards will we be able to obtain through “The Hunt?”
A21: You will be able to trade-in allied marks (points obtained by defeating marks) for items such as armor that is currently traded for Mythology tomestones, unique items that can only be obtained from this content, and alexandrites which is required for upgrading your Animus weapon into a Novus weapon.

May be a little closer to what to expect.
Well letter is over. Big thanks to the new translator for stepping into Rein's shoes.
probably after next FATE, which will probably be last week of June. Then Yoshi will come back to HQ, make final check, and then 2.3 at start of 1st week of Aug.
I'm not sure if I missed it or I'm misunderstanding, but is alexandrite needed for novus? If so, how do we obtain it prior to 2.3's monster hunts?
Well, you better.
I mean, no, I’m not sorry. Male-specific gear that comes to mind, hm… racial clothes that everybody starts with, under-things, and uh… the Valentione-outfit - even that is just a recolor of the CUL AF (after the fact that parts of the questline required participation of male-female couples exclusively). I’m not even sure if there is more, but if there is, it’s not many. Whereas girls got the vanity spring dress but oh, hey, let’s make the counterpart sailor set available for all because it looks great on both guys and gals, yeah, great job. Meanwhile, guys can’t even equip the most basic skirt (really, the most basic example is the Miqo’te racial clothes); and I do have the feeling that when the marriage system comes ‘round, that too will be male-female exclusive as well. I’m not sorry; I get the cultural differences, but this game has been planned for international audience from the start (localisations much??), so I’m not interested in that. Adjust the mentality too, please, and give us options and equal treatment.
BreathlessTao is spot-on! I think it's wonderful that there is a lot of options for female characters in-game, but more and more one is starting to realise how there's not nearly as many options for male characters as there is for female. I'm not sure if you noticed, but people either gender like to show off style the way they want it...
Or, even, marry the gender they want (but that's a whole other rant that needs to be had...).
You want skirts on guys? I don't think we really need crossdressing....
everyone should wear skirts
The next LIVE Letters are both from E3 second week of June as advertised in this morning's Letter. Parts 1 and 2 of 2.3 Preview. Seeing as both the previous major updates took place more or less immediately following the second LIVE Letter it's safe to assume 2.3 is the week of June 16th. Likely June 18th if not the following Wednesday (25th).
You can get a less cumbersome menu by opening the Repair action through the Actions & Traits menu. It looks (almost) the same as the NPC mender, and you can just select categories and mash "repair all" (though you have to repeat it for each of the 7 repair classes). The problem is if you have any damaged item in a category that your crafter can't yet repair -- it'll refuse to repair everything, instead of only repairing what is possible.
You can do it very fast on a controller if you have all your crafting gear sets and the repair window on a crossbar.

And the craftable i90 recolors.
I mean what do you expect at this point. Recycle it and throw a glow on has been their method of showing "This weapon is stronger" since the original +1 relics.
Nevermind the fact that most of the end-game armors are either recycled models or shared between multiple classes as well.
Man, I am still po'd about that. I didn't expect to be able to dress my character up in a frilly skirt, but I expected some sort of cute frilly/heart shaped apron at least. A recolour of an existing item when female characters got something genuinely unique was really annoying. Same deal with the spring dress. I assumed that there would be a cute spring (not nautical) themed set for guys too. I'm not asking for skirts (though I don't care if that's the route they choose to take) but I want there to be equal numbers of UNIQUE items.

Hunts wont be the only way to get it. Can probably get it from retainer, treasure maps. Rare drop from primals, or such.
It's the relic wep, that you make stronger, through various means. you don't remodel it.
Skirts were traditionally male clothing...Kilt is a variation.
And dont confuse your personal opinion, with what lots of other ppl may want. I dont think they are going to bring 2.3, within 2weeks after 2.28.
But well i meant July, not August. I was guessing shortly after the FATE at end of June.
There wouldnt be much to talk about, if 2.3 came before FATE. since it would be to soon to make any announcements about 2.4, or even 2,35 or such, for that matter.
But then again, they are probably gonna release any information regarding 2.3 at E3 anyway.
So sad they can't even keep their promised vague release months now either, with 2.28 being pushed back to June 2.3 most likely delayed until the end of July if not the beginning of August, guess it really was a mistake to get another 6 month sub.
2.28 is a largely QoL patch. It's delay won't necessarily affect 2.3. I don't see why they wouldn't release two patches in 3 weeks. They way their system works they cant easily roll two patches into one and it doesn't make sense to delay 2.3 just for the sake of spacing out the patches. The only reason I can see would be to maybe give people time to work on PVP progression in prep for Frontlines and that isn't the greatest excuse.
I heard that was just the first half, it had me semi interested and not full.
That's really disheartening....they pushed back 2.28 twice now. :/ ...
Did they say why?
Well it still gives people MORE time to get Atma's and a handful of people have their first one by now
lmao, people are already working on another or more. That sucks. I hope this doesn't really effect
2.3 status.
This is another reason why I do manual subs and not have auto-renewal or paid in advance.
2.28 was never delayed. They pushed the Novus upgrade from 2.25 TO 2.28. I wish they had elaborated more on the delay other than saying office issues lol I don't think it'll affect 2.3 though unless 2.3 is somehow idling waiting for the QA team to finish with 2.28 and green light it.
