Yup, was fighting a mob had real bad lag spike (so it seemed), got 90k, tried to log on again got 10105 error, then 90k twice and now cant connect to data center error 2002. WTF SE. It cant be congestion either.
Edit: I was able to get back on with no problems 25 mins later. No idea why>
Grrrr. 2002 error this morning. May 2, 2014 @8:25 PDT.
this is after maintenance. I haven't seen this since beta!!
Holy shiitake mushrooms! Is there anything SE can do without completely shitting the bed? We pay a subscription fee so they can tell us they are going to fix things but all they do is screw it up every time. I've been getting the connection problem with the launcher and cannot get back into the game. Amazing that for a Japanese company no one has committed suicide to make up for the shame they brought upon their family for being such a terrible programmer lol.
I am getting this error over and over as well. Siren server. 9:35 PDT. I was afk last night when the servers went down, so I was forcibly dced. Could this have anything to do with the problem?
Edit: Now I am occasionally getting to the area loading screen at which point I get error 90000.
I've been having this issue since I got a new (supposedly) faster modem. My cousin set it up so I don't know the details on it. I'm on PS4 btw. It has been a week and a couple days since I could play... I really love this game, it would be a shame to have to drop it.
Started receiving this error AFTER maintenance
Cactuar server
03MAY2014 7:09 AM, EST
Well I guess that answers my question if the last maintenance had fixed this issue.
Same problem on my PS4 version https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...95349519_n.jpg :(
I would like to know if SE is working on this, did not found any information
They will probably fix it tommorow and won't give a shit about. They're not refunding their failures anymore.
1. First there were insane lags after 2.2.
2. Lots of emergency LONG maintenances.
3. Now 90k + 2002.
But yoshi is in fox so... who cares about issues?
I agree, they should invest our money in better maintance server........or we just will blame PS4 user >.>
Yep, party over here as well, constantly getting the 2002 error code.
Fix this!!!!!!!
(friend of mine as well)
Serberus server btw...
Check this :o the error is not caused by SE
Well SE is not one to blame for this, but this do not change fact that we pay for services and can't get them. :( there is one technical issue after another. In today F2P world this issues hurts players community and many players leaves game to play something free and stable. One thing that I personaly blame SE is that there is no statement from SE regarding this issue. I think this is issue big enough to at least let players know on main web page or launcher. :(
213.46.182.18 seems to be at fault when you use UPC in the Netherlands. I also found out that some German ISPs can't connect to the datacenter. I guess I'll use my mobile phone network to connect or maybe a vpn.
I have been getting error 2002 all last night and today. I just renewed subscription last week and haven't played for a while - weekend is the only time I have to play and now this error. It seems to be happening a lot if I read the thread? Perhaps I should not have renewed, paying this money and I can't even play the game when I want to!
I am on Odin, UPC Netherlands
Could anyone help me understand, it is not SE but a network failure in France? So nothing SE can do and we just wait until network issue is resolved by provider in France? Does this mean the problem will always be there to happen at various points (if over the weekend then just tough luck) and there is nothing to be done or is it just an accident this time?
A ISP in france upgraded their software/hardware to ensure more stability with the connections that go through that ISP. They somewhat failed at doing so which makes it impossible for us Dutch people to connect to the datacenter since we connect through that ISP.
If you open your command prompt (cmd) you can find out where the fault is by using "tracert 199.91.189.74".
To check the uptime just use "ping -l 1 -t 199.91.189.74" and use ctrl+c to cancel it whenever.
Having the same problem connecting out of Poland, local ISP. Odin server.
I have been pinging for 2 hours now and it seems to be stable... for now
I've tried to log since 4 hours ago, black screen, launcher doesnt show up properly then after i can get in and see start game screen, error 2002 and 90k happened. I thought it was my ISP problem -_-
I Have been getting the same since 9am this morning, still can not log on, have SE not even acknowledged there is something wrong yet?
Started getting these errors too. It never happened to me before since 2.0 when the servers were flooded, but ever since last Tuesday (7-29-14) it's happened at least once a day. The game will start to lag sporadically before giving me an error 9000 - lost connection to server. All attempts to get back in give me a 2002 error.
This only happens to me while I'm running a dungeon through the duty finder. Outside of those instances, the game runs perfectly fine.
Playing the PC version of the game.
lost connection 2 hrs ago, lobby server error 2002 ever since.
I also having the error 2002 since this morning u.u
Started playing since two days ago, only managed to get to level 7 before I started getting really bad in game latency then I was booted from game. I have not been able to connect since, if I don't get an error 2002 right away, it will let me into character selection, but then I don't see my character and after a minute I'll get error 2002. I just want to play the game I paid for, and paid time for. I'm playing on PC, and I'm playing on the server that is closest to my location.
It's a shame that square doesnt care about the minority of players that can't connect. Guess since we aren't the main players just take our money and screw us right?
I'm getting this error now as well. Game was working fine about an hour ago. Logged out and went afk, come back about an hour later and try to log in. I get to the logo screen, click start and the 2002 error pops up. :(
Some ISP's are experiencing outages lately, and it is affecting transit/peering in certain regions. May not be your ISP, but it could be one they've partnered with for transit/peering that is negatively affecting your service). Check your routes to your game or lobby servers. If you find signs of high congestion/packet loss, forward it to your ISP's Teir3 support so they can escalate the problem to the proper parties to correct the routing to avoid these areas.

Just review some of the data at some of the companies in that list (it has ISP's and content providers like PSN, XBL, Netflix, Hulu, etc.), and you may see a pattern for regional outages. Nothing new... it happens all the time. When it is affecting you , you need to lean on your ISP to address the routing problem.
They can and should handle this for you. Just need to provide them good data to investigate. A proper tracert gives them a good starting point.
yeah...I'm gonna be playing WoW till this is resolved. Every patch this mess happens. Can't wait to see what happens with the first expansion. WOOOO, nillie!
Okay, I am getting this same issue as of 1;45 p.m. EST. And, when I did get back in it said that the world was full and I would be #47 in the Cue. Then it went back to this 2002 error and booted me again. Any ideas on how to fix this. My internet is on for everything else...so it's not on my end. Thanks! Rowan Kara
Squaresoft/Enix had a patch. E-I-E-I-O.
And with this patch there came a bug, E-I-E-I-O!
With a dc here, and a 90k there. Lobby crash, 90k, everywhere a dc day.
Squaresoft/Enix had a patch, E-IIIIIIIIIII-E-IIIIIIII-OHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I'm getting this error constantly. But only for NA data centers. I can log into japan and EU data centers no problem. I'm on famfrit, and have all ports forwarded and my firewall on minimal. (ps4 user) I find it funny how i can connect to a JP data center but no the NA ones in which i am located. Haven't played one second of the game though after resubbing. :'(
90k crash, followed by 2002s (which close the game for some reason), followed by 1014 connection errors.
This is really something, today. A new level of errors.
Getting this error as well. Was working fine before the patch. It's frustrating because by the time they get around to fixing this issue my friends from EU will be off to bed.
Experiencing Error 2002. Excalibur.
Been trying to log in for the past 2 hours.
[edit] - found out its a firewall thing.
2002 error all morning. Aether center.
Can connect to other data centers, just not Aether.
Husband cannot log in on his computer, but is able to on my own computer. He's gotten nothing but 2002 error all day (we're Primal server) on his computer (I even tried my own account on his computer and get the same error). He tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now cannot complete version check for some reason.
My boyfriend and I were getting error 2002 nonstop during the last free weekend and were unable to log in at all. Tried again during this free week and we're getting the same error.
I mean, we keep wanting to come back to see if it's worth resubscribing, but with these constant errors, what are we supposed to think?
