It was only until 2 months into the game that I realized, that you I have to withdraw the money you make from your retrainers.
Never really noticed it, because I was making little gil, so when I found that out I was shocked.

I didn't know monk got perfect balance even through MNK was my first lvl 50 job until yesterday ....
I just attuned to the Aetheryte in Summerford a few weeks ago. I've been playing since October. I just never looked over there...
I had been self-repairing my gear by right-clicking the item and clicking repair from the dropdown menu. It's super tedious, especially when you try to find things you need to repair in the armory chest. Well today on a whim I right-clicked the repair icon in the actions and traits window. It brings up repair UI that's just like the NPC one... including an option to 'Repair all".
I am very glad I was not the only person to think Bluefog was Bluefrog. My FC would not let me hear the end of it.
Yeah back in 1.0 I used to call "Bluefog" "Bluefrog" for a bit as well.
about a week after i hit lvl 50 on my bard, i found out that hitting R1 on ps3 goes to your next Cross Bar.
Took me nearly two months of playing till I learned how to sell stuff to npc ^___^;;;;
Shift + M for markers and waypoints. Saved me a ton of clutter on my IU and supper simple to navigate all markers this way, even easier than finding them on my IU.
I JUST noticed there is footsteps in the snow now! :o (Is this since 2.2?)
Took me 3 months to learn you could resize HUD elements by pressing ctrl+Home...sigh...
When i started the game,i thought reseting my dots was a waste of time -.-
i just started playing recently, so this thread has been very helpful and informative for me.
....also just found out you can trade in certain dungeon drops for seals.
been NPCing stuff for like 200gil. wth.
/facepalm2
Apparently you can favourite up to 3 destinations for cheap teleports. I didn't know this for the first six months of the game.
Clouds cast shadows.
My face when I realized this.

i killed myself a few times on leviathin as my blm an my wifes brd before i finally decided to check the buffs on levi's head & tails lol
When I was running a Satasha in LL DR in 2.1 when I received the achievement for fully exploring the dungeon. I facepalmed real hard that night.
I've been well aware that it's Bluefog for a while now yet out of habbit I still call it Blue Frog!
I just realized you can access each city/states ayethernet from the main aytherite... I used to run to the nearest one after teleporting to the city/state.
mouse overs :D
For the first month and a half after launch I didn't realize those small aetherytes around town where a connected teleport system. Doh!
I learned recently that there is a reason why it lists which city the retainers are based in when you're buying off the market board. If you're in Limsa and the retainer you're buying from is in Ul'Dah or Gridania, you have to pay a fee. If the retainer is also in Limsa, you don't have to pay anything extra! I've saved SO MUCH GIL since learning this. /facepalm
It took me ages to realise I didn't need to logout in the inn to get rest bonus, I always made sure I was in the inn then friend told me "you know all cities, towns, outposts are classed as rested zones right"...
See that's what I thought, I was away working during 2.1 and only came back in 2.2 and I was sure you had to be in the inn, thanks for the clarification
