Glad you noticed the LB gauge too. :) I think they actually ninja buffed it to increase faster, regardless of the composition and disregarding the SMN + SCH glitch.

Was really something to see LB3, never had that luxury before. What was also really surprising is we usually have LB2 for the snake phase and LB1 at the end of the fight for our MNK. This time we had LB3 for the snakes, and LB3 at the end of the fight as well, grand total of 80k damage lol.
yeah lowering the dps check by a bit is dama and making thing clearer is a big no no.
It not a big nerf, just some tuning.
I really, really don't think they touched conflag HP in that patch. When we were fighting Twintania last night, there was no difference. Still crossing my fingers that they don't revert the change to the icon sizes in this "bug fix" though. :S I already have to strain my pretty shitty vision in Coil because the environment designers decided that bright and glowy everything was a good idea.
Also, please don't call folk who haven't killed her yet "baddies". Not everyone started on Coil within the first month of the game.
I didn't notice a difference in conflags. Also I did notice the LB bar fills fast. That is nice!
Say whatever you want about SE, but they have a SOLID staff of PR/Translation writers for this kind of stuff.
I bet some people feel stupid now :D
Thank you, Hvinire.
Gotta love how fast they were at rolling back the changes.
Keep up the good work SE :3
what about the issue with the snake HP and conflag HP being lower than normal? Was that false or if it was true then is it going to stay that way?
Has to be the first time I've seen someone unfix a bug because it made players not abuse the bug. Most games would want it fixed ASAP.
Thank you se, for locking people that want to legitimately win fight out of your endgame (lack of people doing normal version of fight)
Thanks for the quick (and thorough) response, SE!
Anyone know if the divebomb icons are still twice the normal size post emergency maintenance?
Thanks for the info and changes Yoshi.P! You guys had me scared for a bit there. :)
They where fixing an unrelated bug (that had a low chance of occurring but still a bug), and fixing that bug and an unintended side effect.
That was therefore a bad fix (specially considering the impact had a worst consequence then the bug itself) and they are reverting it now. Being a software developper(although not a game dev) I can understand fixing an issue that is causing another issue somewhere else...
So enrage strat is now preventing you from clearing ADS with the rot method? well if that's the case... file a bug report because the Rot strat should also be a viable strategy...
oh man, the dev-replies to the 2.16 rage-threads were NOT what i was expecting.
- SE came into individual, player created threads, found in sub-forums of sub-forums on their website and, before even implementing the hotfix, and responds to the player concerns if only just to let us know our voices are being heard and that they recognize the problem
- they own up to the fact that, albeit unintended, the problem was their fault and apologized
- whilst owning up to it, even go so far as to inform us how they messed up when they clearly didn't need to
- come up with a reasonable hot-fix to the problem in a rather timely manner
respect, SE. respect.
It s not a bug. If they wanted the enrage to mean death for the party, they would have done a hard enrage like they do in the Primal fights: If you don't beat the check, you die. Instead, they use a soft enrage that forces you to rush to finish the fight before you run out of resources (HP and MP) and end up dying.
Big respect to Yoshi for not only owning up to the glitches, but explaining what caused them and their plans to fix them in detail.
That's damn good.
All companies scew up from time to time. What makes a company great is how quickly and transparantly they fix those problems.
Thanks for the heads up SE, was an interesting read as well.
How do you fix something transparently?
making a mistake happens to everyone, acknowledging them is something everyone has to learn
