Small sample size. I'm willing to bet many players do care and also you're lockout from doing it again to someone for 30mins.

Hello all,
As you know, when joining in progress for the Crystal Tower, the system displays the progress of the raid when attempting to join runs in progress. For example, "Progress: 1/4".
However, this will be adjusted for the Crystal Tower to always show the progress as 0/1 in patch 2.15.
Great...
This is why we can't have nice things.
Great, so the problem is fixed for end-gamers but for the rest of us the misery continues.
/golfclap
Sweet :) thx for the fix.
This is how it's done in most other games with large scale things like CT. You don't know how far in progress it is, just that it is or isn't.
lol @ the tanks wining.
How exactly will this fix the problem with the withdraw !
Once they see that they are not joining in progress party but in a new party witch will start from the begining they will withdraw as usual !
And i have to sit extra 40min plus pushing the start button for the dn !
So two things will come of this change.
1: They'll still be fishing for in progress runs by waiting until they get a 0/1.
2: They'll join, see that it's not at the boss they want, and then immediately leave the group penalty free because the 30 minute debuff doesn't apply to in progress runs.
But if they are looking for in progress party, witch they do....once they see that its a begining party they will withdraw again!
And this is 90% of the case why they withdraw, because they are put in starter party not in in progress one !
Or am i mistaken something here ?
While it is a welcome change.. I hope that it is a temporary fix till they make it a total blind system, with the player option to check *Join in progress* of course.
As people are saying, the fishing will continue otherwise. This will just deter the *hardcore fishing* (joining at Archeon/KB onry)... el oh el...
I'm happy that they at least acknowledge it as a problem in need of redress...even if their solution leaves a lot to be desired.
So you're telling that if it says 0/1 that can be anything from a barely started run to a 3/4 progress run? Also, I don't get a penalty for leaving if I'm the replacement?
Music to my ears.
Not sure how this is fixing anything but I'm perfectly okay with this. Keep up the good work SE.
This fixes nothing, if you join a session in progress and you don't like it because it's too far/early in the raid you can quit with no penalty. Not sure if mention in this thread but there is no time out penalty for leaving an instance if you joined session in progress
So people who want the gears from last BOSS will still fishing for any in progress party...great fix...
wont stop people from going afk to get booted on purpose.
It shouldnt tell them if any bosses are downed yet at all. This system isnt going to fix a damn thing.
Do you expect SE to mind-control every jerkbag into behaving like a decent human being? Because it's never gonna happen. It's impossible for them to block every single possibility for people to behave badly in their game. That's what you use the Report feature for.
There is a explanation for this, I seen a few people standing around in town just duty up then duty down over and over again for no reason.
At first I thought it was just the angle my view was at maybe the graphics were merging into the wall so I moved my view and nope they were actually flagging up and down non stop I think its trolling.
Don't understand why they don't just mask the progress of the dungeon and give them the option to join or not or automatically draw them into the instance. Even if people were queuing for multiple things at once, once you check in progress it carries over across all things queued for.
I hate to say it, but doesn't help fix the problem. This happens with The Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep as well.
I know that the devs don't want to punish people that change their mind or registered for the wrong thing, or w/e else. However this is a real issue that needs to be addressed.
I say you should get one free Withdraw per 15 minute window. Do it again and you're hit with a time-out penalty. (When I say a Withdraw, I mean from a completed queue of course, not while it is still forming).
Back when farming CM was a thing, a community rep already said that AFKing is not against the rules.
Why people wants to force those "jerks" in joining their group?
Going AFK is being too kind. They will troll just like they used to do in Titan HM. And that's back when the lockout was only 15 minutes.
I just saw 50 "party member has withdrawn" messages in five minutes. I wish I was exaggerating. Please penalize people who abuse this system.
Wrong.
Done it plenty of times as tank. Fished an in-progress group, found they couldn't down the boss so I left instead of wasting time. I could always queue right away again.
Perhaps the penalty only applies to the original members but not the rep? Dunno, but my tank never gets the penalty as rep.
Too bad this "solution" doesn't stop the trolls or fix the issue with any other dungeon.
do you even know why ppl leave half the time? half the time its because people suck. the other half is because people abuse kick. thank you for this delightful experience square. thank you.
This really needs to be put into place on all instances.
Making in progress joining even more of a crapshoot than it already is won't exactly help the problem much. I'm sure someone at square will feel nice about their lil' half-torn bandaid fix, though they'll probably be the only one.
I present you two solutions that make more sense:
A) In-progress queues only for in-progress, the up-side is for people starting a fresh run they won't half to deal with constant queue drops from people fishing for in-progress. Long term, may lower player pool population for fresh starts as it would most likely be viewed preferable to queue in progress, though many CT groups form a full party and then queue up anyways.
B) Change the way loot works for CT and future weekly loot instances. Require a full clear of all bosses whereupon the player is rewarded with a token they can exchange for any of the pieces of loot that drop from that instance. Remove actual boss drops. May also lower player pool population as the week goes on, as it would only need to be cleared once per week for an item, and then spike again on monday.
I'd personally prefer both be implemented, but either one would stop the current problem. There's probably no actual perfect solution that makes everyone happy, but there's still plenty of ways to improve things without pissing too many people off.
Spoilers: the current proposed change is not one of them.
Ermm why not just hide the progress counter or any information on whether it's a new party or in progress party.
I'm sure it's best if the window just show your dungeon is up but didn't tell you whether it's in progress or new. You've picked both in progress and new, just go in and expect either of them. :)
CT is short and takes no less time to complete than some 4 man dungeons. If you queue up from the start you should just roll with it and collect the extra tomes.
Ct is by far the best way to farm tomes 50 myth and 200 philo per completion.
