I want two things: I want a house moogle... LOVED mine from XI!! (bringing back in-house gardening would be sweet (maybe as a new DoH class)), and also I think a Chocobo Corral outside the house, maybe just in the large and med plots due to size, could be really cool. Your chocobo could spawn in the corral anytime you entered the zone (since u can't ride it in there anyways). The different FC members' chocobos could roam around, sleep, kweh!, maybe have some basic interaction...purely vanity. But pretty cool i think.
EDIT: The chocobos shold also have basic AI so they maybe come over and look at any who walks up to them. kinda like how npc's do...

I would also like to see some of the above as well. I found it really annoying to not be able to put wall decor on placed partions/walls. And yes! Doors or door curtains or something!! If not a door then maybe something to place above the doorway like a partion that would square off the doorway.
It would be really awesome if upon your logout at your FC house you could select if you'd like to turn your character into an NPC that would roam around the ward where your FC has its house (at the expense of only getting half your rested EXP). That way some players would prefer full rested EXP and others prefer to leave their characters as NPCs.
And if you click on it, the toon would reply with a predefined message you set, like "Hey there! Good to see you! I'll be back at 6:00 PM".
It would add up to the sense of realism and sense of community in the housing area.
How about a NPC Butler/Maid and access to their pathing and scripting editor?
Happy Friday, everyone!
I just wanted to stop in and let you all know that the development team is currently looking into making and implementing seasonal event-related furnishings for your homes. Stay tuned to see if you will be able to fill your houses with hearts and snowmen!
(*Please note actual snowmen may melt depending on the climate of your housing area requiring you to mop your home.) :p
Can we also create our own Christmas trees? Say we get seeds from harvesting and our house has a garden in the plot of land, we could grow it, chop it down, and add stuff to it? :)
Be nice if we can have a true free company house with in game bonuses so people feel inclined to donate there gil into the houses. Like if you have got a small house everyone in the free company get 10hp more, medium home 20hp, large home get a 30 hp bonuse and need min of 5 people online for the small, 25 min people online for medium and large home need a 50 people+ online to get the extra effect and even can have like a stat +1 added to players for strength ,ect. Just a example.
Instead of having only 5 or 6 people having to make the gil for the homes. Even when got like 200 active players in the FC . Since most who play are from other mmo's and like many say is it really worth the price and effort if down the road the FC falls apart. With out any good bonuse in between. Reason you still see people hoard there gill.
Any plans to let us change lighting fixtures to different floors without having to destroy the old one?
A lot of people in my FC were wishing that there were outdoor "rugs" that looked like cobblestone, pathways, flowers, or water. So you can make walkways and such out of.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned - but please allow us to build Ul'dah houses in Limsa, Gridania houses in Ul'dah, etc. I really like the houses of Ul'dah but I want the house in limsa! Please make it happen SE <3
Disco Lights, Can i have it ?
i wanna make my house look like dance club.
thank you, xoxo
What about ponds for our gardens? :)
FC Shops - For us to sell discounted stuff to fellow company members.
....Or we can also set it to sell to the general public if we so wish.
- All proceeds go to the FC coffer.
Many of these are good ideas.
I'd personally like to also back the additional floor/wall textures and the ability to change the appearance of the stairs, and side pillars, if that would be possible.
This is also kind of nit-picky but I'd like to have the light coming in through the housing windows reflect the outside weather. Seems kind of awkward to go out from the house with really bright light pouring in through the windows only to find it gloomy and rainy.
1) increase free company chest slots by 1,2 or 3 slots depending on housing size.
2) add internal summoning bell, market board, and the book that allows you to view cut scenes which is available in the Inn rooms.
3) add weather effects to the zone just like it does in their respective zones.... example thunder storms and raining in the shrouds.
4) allow more items to be used as both indoor or outdoor. ( hot tubs, chairs and the gargoyle statues are just a few small examples )
5) give a permanent buff towards exp or item drops or such scaled accordingly to the size of the free company house.
6) more allowance space for more items to be placed inside the house for large houses.
7) I know that there are a large group including me who would be able to rotate in which way the house sits on the plot so that your front of the house could be facing a different area of the plot.
Sorry if any of these have been posted before.
Aside from the obvious request of increasing the house inventory so we can place more items I would love to see:
-Save house layout feature: to save the placement of all furniture, floor, and wall types so you can easily revert back to previous layout after rearranging. I want to try many different things with layout but its too tedious to experiment and move things back.
-A jukebox: to change the music being played inside the fc house to other music in game. Could even use this idea as another thing to help the economy, having tracks being dungeon or mob drops, or from treasure maps.
Jukebox is such an awesome idea. Also please give FC buffs according to the items you have in/outside of your house and the size of it.

Downstairs of my FC house =)
A housing setup simulator that everyone has access to would be pretty nice. Being able to setup the house whatever way you want and take screenshots would be very cool.
EDIT: Thank You SE for implementing this!!!!

I would like to see interactive furniture that could be used to give slight buffs to crafting (maybe small +5, +10 to craftsmanship or control) like workbenches or cooking ranges. Clicking on a workbench would open your crafting log and you would then craft on the bench rather than the little table or anvil that appears from thin air like normal, but with a slight bonus to your stats.
or maybe even a series of furnishings that gave VERY small increases like +1 craftsmanship per piece with a max of 5 furnishings.... so a total of +5 (only for FC members and only while inside the house)
Also the models are already in the game...

There are many other pieces you can see just by exploring Eorzea.
Why do the NPCs get cooler furniture than we do?
.... and we also want to see some arcade machines with mini-games when Golden Saucer comes out ... like in VII
.... and gambling tables like XI .... or tables for Parley, the little mini game from 1.0
.... and yes, striking dummies for the yard
Chocobo breeding.
Which of course can lead into Chocobo racing :D
I second the strike dummy for being indoors but lets take it one step farther and enable pvp in your home between fc members for "practice" or fun. Can make training rooms or a dojo in your house.
when future housing additions come out, I want them to require teamwork. not gil.
Like when we get a workshop addon. Go ahead make it take 3000 lumber/ingots and other ingredients.
We'll have gatherers get it, and crafters turn it into materials. Just anything but gil.........
Ideas:
Mission board (ala FF12 and Fairy Tale anime)
have gatherers collect raw materials (lots of common item, few new unspoiled items)
crafters turn into useable items
bring to house and house will update over time, eventually being fitted with the
mission board. FC members could team up to tackle various challenges issued by SE!
Juke Box
Made the same way as above, but players will have to collect the music through
quests, drops, dungeons etc (basically an over time completion thing to give players
something to strive for)
I hope to see lots of additions in the future for housing!
How about using the actual Housing Wards for these seasonal events? We want these zones to be completely decorated for whatever seasonal event is going on. We want the seasonal event vendors to be in the housing wards (every ward has a central event area please use them). We want other reasons for people who do NOT have a house to come in the zone.
Oh and how about a LOT more lighting options. Spotlights, Trees with lights in them, the lampposts from Goblet and Lavender Beds. More tall floor lamps, more wall sconces, ability to hang lights from the ceiling other than the chandeliers!. And an addition basement for EVERYONE not just small houses.
so saved for months, bought a mansion, put some partitions up(which cant have wall mounted items placed on them),made crap load of furniture, placed it all, hit this ridiculously low item cap, took some items out, wiped tears, made some more partitions, walled off 2 thirds of my basement which is now un-accessable.
so I'm going to assume that the SE ptb have some well thought out calculated plan where theres a reason why they charge you 10 times the price of small, and give you 50 times the space of small, but only let u place 4x the items as small. Seriously Im not sure whos doing your math over there but the item cap to square yalmage ratio is seriously skewed, Now I could write you a book on all sorts of cool wants and wishes but this ITEM CAP towers over them so far that I cant even start, I mean if the moderator relays 1 thing and only 1 thing it has tobe the ITEM CAPP(mostly for large), some clowns in here are saying like 250-300, wrong try upwards of 500. ive got 2/3 of entire floor walled off, NO wall mounted lighting even though there so many of them to craft, hardly any table top items, and lots of echoes from all this remaining open space.
Greetings, everyone!
I’m stopping in again to bring you some more information about plans for housing that are in the works!
As mentioned briefly during Letter from the Producer LIVE, in patch 2.2 we will be adding a cultivation system, which will allow you to cultivate crops from your house’s garden and use them for things such as cooking. :)
Additionally, though this is something for the future, we are currently looking into making it so you can dye furnishings that cannot presently be dyed.
• Can we have a board outside so people can write what's on their mind about eksterior and interior of the house?
• How about having a big screen inside the house for watch FC members doing instance or primals?
• It will be nice for players who logout inside the house that their characters remain stay (with away sign) and the characters walk around inside or outside the house (sit or doze) for few days (avoiding quitter) or until they logged in back.
How about an all Server Message when an FC buys/builds a house? We really need something to bring people's attention to housing in general and with prices the way they are a server message would not be spammy. House purchases on Gilgamesh have been in the range of 2-3 a week at the highest.
I am not sure about the "board outside so people can write comments on the house" but a little more information on the house on the placard would be nice. At the very least please add "Established: <Date>" on the placard.
There's is not a lot of room in the "yard" to cultivate much in a FC house. Hopefully your talking about personal housing and we actually have a yard/lawn.
