New LS being formed to help new players progress - social/helpful/fun!

Actually was thinking today, it would seem some players from the ls were talking about not having or finding a fc
I may have a proposition to you :)

I'm game for joining your linkshell, I've been looking for something to do when I'm not doing CT or Coil or something I'd be happy to help out if you still have room for some vets.

I'm mostly a DPS type but I'm trying to branch out to Tanking as well although its slow going right now.

Welcome all the new people!! We've grown quite large, and I find that many in the LS end up partying very often with other LS mates. Since we usually have around 30+ people on at night, and also we have mostly 3/4 of those having 50s, we seem to have plenty of people around to organize quick HM dungeons, WP runs, primals, CT, etc. I'm thinking of putting together a website or something in order to organize runs that people need (like primals for relic) and also story dungeons/trials -- this way we could be a little more organized and actually have planned events that LS mates sign up to help with in advance ^^ We'll have to see how it goes -- I know we made the LS with the intent of helping new players -- and to also allow people in other FCs to be able to all participate ^^ And that is still the goal :) All new players and vets are welcome!!

Website is a good idea, next thing then woud be voice chat, but that would make Rune Crystal mad ;).
Anyhow, I will try to organize some relic quest runs this weekend for new 50s, meaning Chimera, Hydra, Ifrit HM. Then farm Ifrit HM followed by Garuda HM for iLvl70 weapon plus tome runs to prep for Titan HM. So a website would be great to organize this.

Edit: This LS has made my reroll on Levihatan so much easier, started from scrtach and got two jobs to 50 over the holidays, thanks guys for organizing this LS and all your work and time you put in it.

I am completely new to mmorpg's and would definitely be interested. Am currently working on all my gathering classes' as well as crafting classes at the moment but will be back to messing with my tank class as well.

Ugh Sorry Miri, my sleep schedule was out of wack this past week so I've only been on around midnight ~_~ I'm getting back on track so I'll keep trying to get on during the day x_x

Now as i understand the website will not happen and this is our only option to communicate, do you feel that there is enough interest to form a static Titan HM group to learn the encounter. I do not think I can handle doing this through DF and I would really like to learn the encounter. Minimum requirements should apply I think

1. Gear iLvL 60 or better
2. 3200 HP
3. Ifrit or Garuda Weapon

We could start by farming Garuda to get the group synergy going and get a weapon for everybody, then move to Titan HM.

I don't think there is a need to build synergy for Titan HM. It doesn't require communication as much as everyone knows what they're doing. You just need everyone to learn the rotation, either by doing it a lot or writing it down on a piece of paper to look at. The requirements should include using the right gears for the job. HP requirements is ok for dps, healer can have 3000 and tanks should have 5k with Shield Oath/without Defiance.

Actually if Miri is still interested in a website i may be able to do one. Used to do web design and i do owe her more then one, lol

Well, I'm thinking now that maybe it would be nice to have a website - not to force anyone to go on it to plan things, but as an option for those that wish to. If people never visit it at all except those wanting to plan in advance for practice/help/parties, that's fine too. But maybe having it there as a means to communicate outside the game would be great, and I'd definitely need the help, I'shtola ^^ Thanks! -- Oh, and I got my relic on PLD just last night, but that just means I'd be able to help tank it for those in the LS who also need it ^^ or even to practice ^_^v

I wanted to use something better then getting to know the group, synergy seemed to be a nice term. The numbers were just ballpark. Congrats on PLD relic, dint believe you got this done by DF ;)

Oh I didn't, Rune. I got people from my FC and others from the LS and we beat him on the first try. Only caveat is that almost everyone in the group except me had their relic, and most already had their relic +1 and a few i90 pieces. Finding that kind of setup in DF would almost be impossible - plus, since I formed my own party, we only had 1 tank, which lets us have 5 dps ^_^v I'll tank Titan for you whenever you need and we can practice more w/ LS peoples, too ^^

That would be great. I am trying tomlearn the fight, I know I could get my FC to carry me through it but I would like tomlearn the fight.

Honestly Mirielle its all in the concept of how you look at it, Linkshells are still communities simular to guilds :3 we still communicate, help each other and have fun, only real difference is we can't buy a LS house lol!

Hi, I was wondering if I could join this LS my IGN is Melon Mochi .... I have been around since beta, but I never got to do any of the end-game things. Nor do I really know how...
I have been on and off the game because the people I originally played/were going to play with ended up ditching in the long run, so I have been playing solo for the most part @_@ There aren't many games out there thats on par to FFXIV right now, and I really do enjoy the game. The only problem is that playing solo is getting boring/too difficult for me to really enjoy it :/

I'm a newer player, 22 Lancer, and this sounds like a good idea. Can you please add me? My in game is Tracyaat Dunwich :-) :-)

You can always kick LS members. You just don't know how long ago they were on so yeah.....

That stinks that there's a member cap.

To the new incumbent members, i can say that this LS is full of great friendly people.

Maybe you should split the LS in a pre and post 40 LS. that is actually why I joined to have help with AV and stuff after 40. Pre 40 you can get all you need really from the DF and PF.

Or move the Pre-20 crowd to a new LS and if they stick with the game, they can advance at 20.

Yep - that'd be great to do but there is a hindrance in that we have 128 people, no way of knowing who is on often or when someone last logged in, and no way of knowing what their main job is or what level (even if I did a lodestone search of all 128 - they may have a 50 they never play and a 20 as a new main). SE just made LS management very hard to do - not sure what to do about it atm. I could go through 1 by 1 and see if people know them/contact their FC...but even that takes massive work. So, we'll see ^^ Even if I make a new Benevolence 2.0, no one there could chat with the 1.0 peoples :(

<Shiny> on Mid just opened their 6th shiny-LS and they have a Shiney FC, just to give you an idea :)
