Same here, my whole FC has been complaining about it. Happened to me last night on Demon Wall. So lame.
I was 90k'd a couple times last night simply by swapping gear sets/classes. I had no issues w/ 90k until last night.
My FC finally killed Garuda last night, but it was only after a rash of 90k + 5003 for either our tanks or our healers.

Same here, tank kept getting 90k'd, I got it for the 2nd time since playing at launch. Afterwards i got an "Authentication error has occured, closing Final Fantasy XIV or some jazz like that, then closed the game itself. got back in and was fine. Haven't noticed skill latency or anything though. I was just trying to get Garuda's book too :(

I realize you guys are busy but since this is a known issue can the team look into the reports of lost crafting items due to these disconnects? I opened a ticket with the GM department about losing 9 potash disconnecting in the middle of a Vanya robe synth last night and got a response to my ticket this morning stating the GM team is unable to restore lost crafting items due to disconnects.
Maybe fix the problem of not being able to play because you don't offer any functioning payment services. This is a very common issue. Give us free service till you can provide functioning payment services. I paid for the game, I want to play it. It is your obligation to provide functioning payment services.
Thank you for acknowledging the DC and authentication issues. Is there any word regarding the network issues? I did an extended ping to Balmung (199.91.189.30) last night and got 20% packet loss out of ~500 ICMP packets sent. I was getting zero packet loss to my ISP and a few other sites on the internet.
It's ridiculous how they refuse to compensate us for their problems. Are we supposed to pretend high level crafts don't exist for the next two weeks until they fix this problem? Because there's no point in taking the risk of being 90k'd in the middle of an expensive craft.
Me: Hey SE, thanks to the 90k errors I kind of lost 50 Animal Fats and 70 Peacock Ore...can you recompensate? As you can see I did spend tomes.....

People can and will exploit it and ruin it for all of us, so companies rarely do compensate, even in a video game in a major way like that, it's not because they're greedy, it's because people will find a way to weasel into it - This is why when they DO compensate us, it's not returned items but something else.
Are you also investigating the lag issues that has been persisting the last few weeks for a lot of people, and got worse after the 2.05 hotfix?
I would suspect their server logs are logging 90000 errors. This is a server side error so unplugging your connection would be a client side initiated disconnect so it should be pretty easy for them to determine the source of the issue.
Regardless, I could understand under normal circumstances that they could not address the issue but if they have a confirmed issue then they should at least spend the extra time to review reported incidents related to issues rather than just closing the incidents with a BAU response.
Actually, a 90000 error is purely client-side. It literally means your client severed its connection to the server for any number of reasons: legitimate loss of connection, a bad, or malformed packet received by the client, etc. That really does suck you lost the potash. I lost mats crafting yesterday as well... but it was just a raptor leather synth so... ya :(
The only real solution to this problem is when SE fixes the client netcode bugs, and deals with the ever-growing ISP packet throttling issues.
I got these two errors while fighting the dhrome chimera last night and the party i was with killed him and i missed out at getting the item from it for my relic quest.
I have had this as well as my PS3 freezing and being unable to exit the game. Not cool.
I also received the 90k and 5003 errors today as well i was getting ready to do a levequest and bam it just hit me out of the blue on my PS3 oh and now when i exit from the lobby it goes to a black screen and thats it, so when i go to quit the game and asked me yes clicked yes and it rebooted the PS3 and turned off controler.
Also happening to me on my PS3. All in all, about six times in the past 24 hrs, twice I was in a dungeon when it happened :(
Been happening as well + atrociously abnormally high constant lagg and speed up lags
since the patch, i play as usual, 4-5 hours straight in a day

The 90k errors I get are not random at all. It seems to happen every 4 hours damn near exactly if I log out every couple hours I never see the 90k error. But I have also been having black screen problem when exiting the game which I haven't seen since beta 3.
No it does not. Check the 80 page thread in tec issues on all the people getting 401 and 601 error. It is so common SE made a whole page about it in moogle station right when you click for support which by the way addresses nothing since everyone collectively is finding it is on SE's end. It is their obligation to provide functioning payment services. This is terrible and 10 times worse than when they converted to SE accounts. I live in the USA and have all payment options available and have tried all of them except discover card since I don't have one and the preload game card options. If they cant provide functioning payment services they need to give free membership till they can as good faith business practices or start offering refunds.

I have been getting 90k as well as some FC members. Also an unusual level of lag:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Huh, I'd actually thought the authentication error was something they put in on purpose with the hotfix to limit the ability of hackers to abuse login sessions from compromised systems. Like, instead of having them last for days/weeks/whatever it was, they changed to making them expire very quickly once the player was no longer in contact with the server.
Got also a huge amount of DCs / 90K errors - VERY unpleasant when you're crafting something valuable! :(
I didn't get tomes for the last boss in AK due to the 90k error
This is rediculous...I just got the error and stuck in cutscene during Praetorium screwing over my entire party. What was emergency maintenance for?
No change after today's update, still getting 90k error. Usually within 5 minutes of logging into the game.
No longer a free account, this is a paid for service now, so refund or fix.
You are no longer supplying the service I am paying for.
Confirmed, today's update did not fix anything on this. I've been getting this around 3 times while fishing.
