Aren't free trial period all expiring right now? I'd check the Mog Station.

I did get an automated email saying I was suspended to to either RMT'ing or Botting, none of which is true, believe it or not.
I then found out this is a mass ban that seems to mostly affect high lvl crafter's who have focused on making gil through selling crafted items.
What exactly is "fishy" about it?
If lvl 50 DoW/DoM classes like yourself start charging less for tomb mats such as Potash, then we may see 2 star items being sold for less.
My "Target market" would be lvl 50's who have been Materia farming/selling Titan kills for gil and other rich crafter's/gatherer's.
1mil+ for a HQ top end crafted item that costs 400-500k to attempt to make (chance of making a worthless NQ), while being one of the few who can actually craft such items, does not seem overkill to me.
The gears needed to craft such items cost a lot to make in the first place.
No option that I may be telling the truth? lol
My FC members have confirmed my account was not hacked prior to the suspension.
Like I've said, I don't expect most of you to believe me, but I would appreciate some official word about these mass suspensions.
Bump - In the hope one of the "Community Rep's" actually see's this thread.
I agree. SE really needs to announce something. I fortunately haven't made a lot of money, only a couple million so far but most is spent as it comes in lol. But I have a friend who got a suspension and it's absurd because he is the most straight and narrow person I know in games. He was a GM for WoW and dealt with people like this but he got a ban for being a crafter and making millions. He has every craft 50 and has at least 15 million that I know of. There is something wrong if they ban someone like that.
There is a transactions history on your retainer where it shows items you have sold. From the start, I already had a hunch they added that in, to check whether a players gil is earned legitimately or not. So if the gil you have, aint backed by your transactions history, you got some explaining to do.
Being a crafter by itself, does not make you rich. Most crafts are unprofitable, break even at best. Only a few crafts are actually worth making, but thats usually because they sell very slow. Or some other hidden gimmick preventing other crafters from doing the same. And the profit from those synths are usually only several thousand.
The moment there is a craft that is majorly profitable, is the moment you see 20 crafters jumping on it within a day. I scour the markets every day for bargains like that. There is at least several 100s people like me scouring the markets EVERY DAY. This is what we in the real world call: entry of competition. Especially seeing how crafting is so easy in this game, you should expect to see a shitload of level 50s as time passes by. All out of work.
Most top crafters right now powered leveled their way to 50 too. Of course this does not apply to everyone, but at least 50% of the top level 50s powered leveled their way. Getting to 50 doesnt magically make you rich. There is no craft at 50 that is pure profit all the time. That's why alot of crafters are downright broke. They crafted synths that werent profitable just to reach 50. And when they hit 50, they realized they cant make anything that earns 100s of thousand. That's why you see so many people shout for crafting work.
Don't kid yourself to think that some people earned their millions legitimately.
I'm afraid this is a load of rubbish, if you can't make gil as a decent lvl 50 crafter you should not be crafting in the first place.
You may not sell everything you make, but if you lose on something, obviously that was not something people want and you should stop making it.
Being able to make something is not enough, you need to know what's selling and try to remain cheaper than your competition, this is the main reason my main class is still lvl 39...
My retainer history will show all my dealing to be legit sales, but this is not a discussion of if I am telling the truth or not, this thread is aimed at getting some Official Word on the matter.
Rofl wouldn't that be a hoot. /Cry river - I got suspended and I can't log in....whoops free trial period is over. Hmm I'm an idiot, guess I will stick to the story of getting banned....
I know there are more than a couple people in this boat...check your mog station and pay SE... And stop with the QQ if you really got suspended for 72 hours, deal with it like a big boy and when you get your account back, go play and be glad SE cleared you of wrong doing. SE doesn't "owe" an explanation for suspending people for suspected of RMT. Anyone with large amounts should be watched and dealt with accordingly. It's a no brainier. If your clean you get account back...if your not then buh-BAM!
I think a better question is, who was doing the buying. If players were buying gil via RMT, and then buying stuff from you, that may look like a gil laundering thing. But that's just thinking SE did something like "suspend all characters in transaction_log where buyername=x"
I mean people certainly are laundering tomes by buying the materials with the tomes and then selling the materials. I'm not sure if that is what SE intended. Another possibility are players selling melds or "(hard mode) wins" that have been constantly spamming the shout, and maybe they're getting reported for it. But who knows, maybe the crafters with millions simply got suspended because SE found bot use.
At this point, you are not going to get SE to tell you why they suspended the accounts, as per policy they don't have to. When dealing with fraud, you never tell the people who you're targeting why you've targeted them, otherwise they will change their tactics.
