I do not want to collect the Friend code of everyone on the server to play with them ill pass.
hmmm i doubt it would happen showing how nintendo is more g and pg rated oriented now and wanting to be more happy family go lucky... and also I'm neither a granny nor a little girl and I loved the Wii console well atleast it and certain games
This +1
Nintendo has almost no support from 3rd party developers. So unless you want to play through Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid for the 9th time I don't see the point in owning one. Nintendo has been staying in the console market by selling people peripherals and gimmicks. The only game I like on my Wii is Monster Hunter.
P.S. That's nothing to do with the hand held market which Nintendo is still king of. But then again the 3DS sucks so maybe they will fail there soon too.
As far as I'm concerned, FFXIV might as well stay on PC. Nintendo usually limits themselves in terms of hardware and local/internet connectivity, Sony is limited by their own tunnel vision when it comes to customer service, support, and satisfaction, and Microsoft sort of has the online thing down although as evidenced by trying to get FFXIV on their system, is hampered by their desire to keep everything locked down tighter than Ft. Knox.
Don't get me wrong, I think that the more people have a chance at playing games on different patterns the better, but the big three as it were have their own share of issues that might impede optimal experiences.
I'd be happy with it being on any console. PC gaming sucks.
Me too.
I'm not worried about Nintendo's friend code system as there's none of that for Monster Hunter 3 Tri.
And that's not a game for girls and grannies (to them I'd suggest Modern Warfare:pretend you're playing while a movie is playing around you). MH3Tri is a game for MEN who eat bloody beefs for dinner and don't cry like a wuss when all their progress for the last 45 minutes is stomped on by an instakill move from a building-sized monster =D
You know what'd be even better? If Nintendo merged the concept of a console and a PC desktop into a small console which can plug into any monitor, operates off of a remote/gamecube controller, and is friendly with Gamecube/Wii games and Windows 7 files -hinthintcoughcough- Oh, but I can pipedream. Still... I like Nintendo, and the Wii for that matter- it's just a shame that FFCC, MHTri, and Sam&Max were the main good examples of classic RPG/Adventure games, especially because of good attempts but bad executions like Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga.
