Well in this case it would be nice if they retained that mentality in the endgame by making raid lockouts class based instead of character based. Makes it impossible to provide multiple roles to a FC or assist secondary runs for lower ranking members in lockout raids. Thus alts become necessary to provide those or similar services.

If Square wants a "one character to rule them all" setup that's great. But take it all the way. Even a restricted "3 classes per character" or similar lockout could correct this problem.

And of course any RMT operation worth their salt will just laugh and funnel their resources through multiple accounts. The extra 15$ means nothing to them, assuming they aren't skipping over that too with hacking/keylogging.

I am literally out of things to do on my main. I have all classes at 50, every single quest done (other than one of the beastmen factions for dailies, which is 10 days away from completion). I clear the entire week's worth of lockout content (Coil 1-5, EX primals, CT) within a single day. My alt is already almost as geared as my main on the jobs I use for him. Literally all I do the rest of the week is milk the daily gil and try to to Coil on my alt.

You want benefits of having multiple characters? Daily quest gil rewards, doubled. Roulette rewards each day, doubled. Treasure maps/day, doubled. Gearing multiple jobs vertically. More retainers to sell more items. And those are only the functional reasons.

There is no reason you shouldn't be able to mail to your alt. Hell, some people can because of a design oversight before 2.1 where you could add your alt to your friend list if they were in an instance. Which has since been fixed. It's actually kind of frustrating because mailing large sums of gil/items between main and alt WOULDN'T be suspicious because it's the same SE account. Changing hands from you to a friend to alt? Could be seen as suspicious.

You know what SE would do if they allowed that, they would remove all bags of gold from every quest or just put tin bags.

You think SE cares they removed gil from bronze beetles and next will be that, just like FFXI they want to make it extremely hard for you to make gil.

Don't expect much and if they don't do that they probably lock sending gil to yourself.

There is actually a way to send mails to your alts without the need of any friend's help or a FC at all and yes that means you can befriend your own alts with your main character, being a solo player with no FC led me to figure this trick out. I've kept it to myself for a while in fear that perhaps RMT would abuse it and only shared it with 2 of my friends, but seeing as how I went back to FFXI, maybe I can share this trick with some people if it doesn't get flooded all over the place... (Of course, like that won't happen if I share this info)

How Yoshi Designed it? The same system 1 character can do everything was used in FFXI too

Which makes sense until you realize lockouts make gear progression so slow your better off just making alts anyways defeating the purpose of the system.

This are cheating and needs for be punish and nerf. Daily system exploit advantage make for hurt game design and player base. :(

Curious how you consider this cheating. It's a significant time investment to do quests/leveling/gearing from the ground up on another character. Whether you pay Legacy service fee or Standard, it's also representative of real money investment (either from supporting 1.0, or paying more than Entry fee). Again, how is it cheating if you are spending more time and money than the average player and thus getting more out of it?

The method I've heard of has been patched since before 2.1, unless you have some other method nobody is talking about.

Dishonest player make for obtain more final fantasy 14 game currency than honest player who play one character as developer of game intend. When you make for level two or more character of game you obtain two or more times currency as honest player which make for unbalance unfair experience of game for honest player. Dishonest player that makes cheat of level many alt should be punish for disrupt balance of final fantasy 14 game.
