Ok, I don't wanna be one of those "Get a mage dps or gtfo" guys, so I really want to know the best strategy for beating the nails the old fashioned way.
Obviously, a lvl 3 LB will 1 shot the first nail, and net you at least 1 full bar in return. What next? Do you use that 1 bar right away on the next, or do you beat it down, then use 2 bars on the next?
Would like to have a consistent strategy, but these pickup groups tend to derp out hard when the nails appear and dont focus.
LB3 the first Nail. Kill off the 2nd and 3rd Nail with regular DPS(if people can deal damage this is not a problem) and LB2/3 the last Nail. Done
About the AK/Palace DPS checks. High DPS makes those fights faster and easier, but the DPS check is not nearly as harsh as people make it look like. You just need to know how to deal the most damage with your class. I outDPS other BRDs in Full Darklight and Garuda Bow, while I'm wearing Toxotes Set and an Ifrits Bow with lousy Lvl 48 Jewelry...only cause of one reason...they don't know how to play their class properly. They do 130ish DPS on Ifrit, while I do 170...
It is not always the case...but in FFXIV it definetely is...Skill>>>Gear.
