Why we NEED a caster for Ifrit hard?

Really, that's so annoying, queue for Ifrit Hard pops, no BLM or SMN, we have to leave cuz it's impossible to kill the nails and now we have a 15 mins penalty when leaving a dungeon early. Making specific classes essential for a fight is not good at all. Anyone managed to kill Ifrit hard without casters?

Nails are easy as hell to kill without a caster, and thats coming from a BLM. Our tank popped the LB like an idiot before nails came up and we still killed ifrit

good to hear, I guess u had good DDs in ur party then, guess that can be done as premade, but using the duty finder with random people is a matter of luck.

i've never done ifrit premade, and the fact that the tank used the LB attests to that. It was in the duty finder.

Downed Ifrit Hard easily with all Melee DD's. It can be done. It's not the easiest way, but it's not impossible. I also remember Yoshida saying he wanted to avoid people needing or wanting a certain job more than the other.

just LB 3 one nail kill 2 and Lb the last one ... its no problem at all without caster

Got a Duty Finder random group with Paladin, Warrior, Scholar, White Mage, Monk, Monk, Dragoon, Summoner and we focused down all the nails 1 by 1 without using any limit breaks. Having Scholar and Summoner multi-DoT + 3 melee and the off-tank beating on the nails took them down with plenty of time to spare.

And they didn't, which proves it doesn't matter. It's like the whole "ermaged can't do danjan without paladin plznerf", yes BLM/SMN LB and Paladin interupts make the fight a ton easier, but the fight is completely doable without either. Wish it was harder if anything, so there would be less terribly geared and/or bad players queueing for Garuda or worse Titan.

This. Got bored and tried to DF a Titan run... we didn't even make it beyond 75% before someone died, and people started dropping group in combat.
Most of them still had AF and white gear.
