Its the same as tree climbing, first 10 time i did fall from the tree but than i knowed what to do and made it up. Slightly different to climbing a tree, I don’t recall the last time a tree called a person a “faggot”, “dumb f**K” or said “go cut your throat”. I’m guessing we climbed different trees when we were kids.

Is the person in question is DD/DPS (hell, I'll just call both to please both party)? Probably because that person waited a loooooong time until get a shot and failed and then back to wait again. But still doesn't excuse the horrible manners.

To put it in FFXIV terms, there are a lot of people that have grown up and have learnt 'stoneskin'.

They cast it all day long in the office, in the playground, down the pub. People are people and we can all be assh*les. Most of the time you just need to walk away. However, does walking away from these people just mean they'll leave 'you' alone eventually, then just move on to the next target?

Does blacklisting solve the problem?

You see a bad thing happening? Just close your eyes and pretend it's not there, right? Just cross the road and go about your day?

I really don't know the answer. I appreciate all the feedback though, cheers all.

Anyway I'm not trying to change the world here. I'd really just like to see a developer response to outline their thoughts on the issue.

Maybe we just need a better form of reporting certain behavior so SE can keep a good solid playerbase together.

Maybe we do have to rethink our approach... but we can't stand there and hold a gun to their face at all times. This is a problem of society, not only this game or the internet. I have my doubts that anything can be done. You'd have my support for any measures that can't be misused (reporting for harassment, punishment/ban at x number of reports) too much.

its not the dutyfinder. its the people playing the game there the ones acting like that, if your a cry baby, elitest, used to having your hand held buy your guild's or spoiled brat dont bother with the DF that easy and will save 7 other people the drama.

Metaphor is a word you know? If children dont learn how to handel such person, the gorw up in adults that cant handle such person. Also you should read what post i qoutet, but here we are on the next problem of young adults "reading comprehension".

LWaen how to deal with them in a professional manner.

THe loudest negiive people have the mentality of Children, and are self absorbed. THey are typically the worst at their skills as well.

Be carefull taking advice from those types as well. Usually it is bad tactics.

Respect and good communication helps everyone grow and do well. Cocky attitudes and self created superiority is meant to make ones self feel good for their own issues.

If someone explains what your mebt to do and they ignore and not do it.. yea I will be mad cuz I just wasted an hour + on a que and got some idiot. If were meant to hold everyone's hand than how will they learn.

I'm the first one to try and help and explain fights or mechanics but shit some people can only help so much before we lose our minds.
