I love this game, and respect the dev team, but Square Enix crossed a horrible line.

I agree with them and op nintendo removed and banned streaming of smash bros thats why they got alot of heat but this is different alot of company's have the same policy!

there is plenty of non monetized videos and reviews online that se doesn't need random people reviewing and making money off their game....and less than 1% of the player base care!

I didn't care about your opinion on games before, and I still don't. Still laughing at the people raging over this though.

GOOD! Shouldn't be making cash money off others work. This is how games lose out on sales. It's people just streaming and watching the game being played and not actually buying the games. These scumbags shouldn't be making more than I while sitting on their arse playing games. QQ moar and maybe you should quit the game, tc, but you won't lmao

I really don't get this. It is valuable marketing for their game, at a very low opportunity cost for SE. The amount of money being earned by streamers of youtubers is peanuts compared with a full on marketing campaign.

Gotta agree with this. The people who are crying about all of this are the ones who aren't making money off of their videos, anyway. Congrats, you got 1,376 views.

Nothing stupid here. If I made something that I'm making money with. I don't want other people getting money using the work I've created without a permission or partnership same goes for any youtuber.

I do not mind the no monetize thing. It is SE's right to not let anyone make money off their product. Is it the right business move? I don't know, but you cannot really fight their decision. The thing that bothers me is the no sound/music from other sources. People have been making anime music videos, movie music videos, and game music videos almost since the internet began. It is a fun project a lot of people like. No one monetizes those kinds of videos either. So I am unsure on why they decided to enforce such a thing. Made me really sad since I had planned on making more of those type of videos for ARR.

In my opinion. The people who wanna make money off SE's property should get a real job. I agree with them 100%. None of thes people on YouTube made or own the game. So why should they make money off of it? If a person truly likes something they would make the videos anyway. Even without making any money. Not just make the videos because the supject is the "in thing", and they wanna make a few bucks. But is I said It's my opinion. And you're entitled to yours as much as I am.

i dont understand how videos on youtube can be monetized period. ive never bought anything because i saw an advertisement for it before a video and i would bet few people have. as far as marketing products goes putting them in front of videos is pretty much just flushing that cash down the toilet.

and whats worse is ads from political campaigns or public relations from terrible, evil corporations like bp and monsanto. making me wait 30 seconds to watch a cat play a keyboard does not make me like your company more.

Because your video is drawing in people to view advertisements which you have the option of showing on your video in order to monetize.
