I really, really want to buy this game...

If it makes you feel any better, I had to do this crazy tap-dance too (although I could pay SE directly thank the 12).

Me, the hubby and his best friend all needed different versions/upgrades to the game.

We got it so they get all the in-game bling, and the only thing I'll be missing is the Cat Sith and Moogle Cap, but I'll have the Physical Swag and everything else. (I have early access due to my account type).

It's silly that SE is restricting the ARR CE (PC) to their online store. I got the 1.0 CE by walking in to my local GameStop and pre-ordering in person. It should be that easy.

Console games are sold everywhere, but PC games are more niche.

I have a feeling one reason they did this was to prevent selling out in all states BUT west virginia, and suddenly someone gets to scalp the remainder boxes. (example)

They aren't making any more CE copies, by the way. Also, JP versions of ARR CE were sold out on the first day, or per the quotes, "instantly".

Sucks for you, the collectors edition is available at most online retailers in the UK.

I have a solution for you wolf. Go to your local walmart/target or w/e retailer that sells visa or mastercard gift cards. Look for the visa or mastercard gift card that allows u to put any ammount you want from $25-500. Pay the $5 activation fee and put $82 on it. Bam ur set Digital River DOES support... say again DOES support gift cards.

Reason i said $82 is this:

SE STORE:
+$69.99 AAR:CE (PC)
+$6.70 Shipping (USPS shipping is the cheapest option. 1 day shipping costs i think it was $32-35 making ur total $105~$110 for the game.)
+$4.60 TAX
Grand Total= $81.29 (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS FROM NA SE STORE. Tax could vary by state idk.)

So again buy the visa or mastercard gift card that allows any amount you want $25-$500 and put $82. And Bam you have your physical CE version :).

I will definitely be trying this tomorrow before work. Might as well load one up, as I'm interested in the Before Meteor soundtrack, as well....Worst case scenario, I'm out $5, right?.... *shrug*

Transfer money from said card that won't work in the SE store or others, to a pre-paid visa that will work. Problem solved.

No go on the pre-paid MasterCard gift card. I'm just beginning to think that this is one massive troll attempt.

Have someone else purchase it for you and give them the money *shrugs* that's another very simple way to do it
