devastated about the beta announcment

She's new to FFXIV so she just doesn't understand, and I was once in her shoes so know how ignorant she is at this time in her adolescent adventurer status.

I'm hoping that those lucky adventurers that happen to have not made plans and make it into the beta can grind twice as hard to cover my lack of being there..

Wait a minute... you're getting a vacation on a real beautiful tropical island and we'll be stuck here where the only adventures we'll have are in the make-believe world of Eorzea... and you're complaining!?

Tell you what, send ME your tickets. I'll take one for the team. Just send me the tickets and you guys can take my place beta testing ARR while I suffer under the tropical sun next to the crystal aqua seas looking at scores of gorgeous surfer dudes with tan lean muscular bodies while eating seafood and drinking wine all day. Just thinking about going through that makes me cringe, but if you really want, I'll be more than happy to suffer in your place. How 'bout it?

Sorry but I'd be living it up in Hawaii instead. I've never been there and I'd surely make the best of it.

Not to mention that's assuming the beta doesn't explode from everyone logging on at the same time / unforseen crashes / maintenance / acts of god / whatever, especially on day 1.

There's a reason they post that warning before logging onto FFXI / FFXIV =P Get out there and have a great time with the family!

Hawaii is pretty nice, I've been there twice.
Spend time with the wife, enjoy your life.
