'Played' means you obviously don't know the state of it now.

I can see how a system like this could go poorly; it's all about the loot system, imo. I will applaud the fact that we'll all get to see some new faces, and see some interesting party dynamics! It'll keep things fresh, that's for sure :D
I'm curious...even if something like this gets implemented, how does that affect linkshells with set regular members and schedules? You aren't going to use content finder when you already have everything set.
This sounds more like for people who don't have a linkshell and still want to do content, in which case "You take what you can get."
It doesn't affect them directly, but it can cause problems when you get a new and bigger playerbase, how will your linkshell expand if you can do everything without needing one? There would be little reason to join a linkshell when you can plop yourself in a queue and get paired up with whoever.
This is why if they decide to lay priority in content with people using content finder, linkshells won't really be like they were in XI and XIV, Free Companies will likely be the only form of in server organization in that matter depending on how SE handles it.
Exactly.
This feature is aimed towards people who either don't want to join big linkshells or don't want to commit to a solid schedule for a variety of reasons.
I'm gonna risk tossing out the 'C' word, but Casual players will reap the most benefit from this, while mid and hardcore players will still get the most out of their time with event linkshells.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather do events regularly with people that I know and trust, rather than be thrown into a mix of people who I don't know, potentially don't like and haven't done the event with.
