PS3 is expected to have a 10 year life span. I don't see why Sony would cut that development time. It also might give Microsoft an edge since they also expect a 10 year life span and could add better hardware.

technologies alway grow up faster than expectation
maybe Sony might release an upgrade version of PS3 before the PS4 ready to release
No. Rebirth is dumb. FF14 should be renamed:
"Duo Decim Dissidia Final Fantasy XIV-2 Versus Agito/364 Days Re: Coded Chain of Memories ."
You're acting like this is a new development in console/PC gaming. Console development has hindered PC development for years. Why would a company want to pour all their effort into making a game that a fraction of its playerbase would be able to run at full settings when they can release it optimized on a console that anyone with it could play? You mentioned Crysis 2...
The Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 sold 237,989 copies in North America and 366,816 units worldwide, according to VGchartz.com. The PlayStation 3 version of the game came in second, selling 120,853 copies in North America and 228,079 units globally. The PC version, which was the format the franchise originated on, came in a distant third with sales of 46,057 in North America and 103,373 units worldwide.

There's no point in creating a game that runs on the highest end systems when most people are perfectly content to play them on a console. As evidenced by Crysis 2 sales, people seem fine not playing it "at 100%."
And PS3 dying next year...I have no idea where you're getting that from. I guess someone better tell S-E, Konami, Bethesda and Naughty Dog to pack it in. No use developing for a dead console.
how about:
Super Final Fantasy 14 IInd impact DX plus
I think the game needs to add quite a bit of content before anyone can really be satisfied with it.
There are some people who enjoy the game now, but a big part of that (at least for me) is thinking that the game will get better at some point. I spend a lot of time thinking about what is missing exactly in this game and one big part of it is simply content. Leve quests are great and all, but they focus on one really simple aspect of the game: getting exp and trying to level up. There is no real substance behind them, a rinse and repeat kind of grind if you will. Suffice to say that they just.. need more content. Other people in this thread hit the nail on the head when sayng things like "chocobos, airships, new classes, more quests". But personally I would love to tack on "party dynamics" and maybe traditional names. More defined roles, pleasseee.
If the game can do this throughout the summer I would probably stick around for an expansion. But if they expect to whip up a bunch of stuff and try to sell it to me with a monthly sub.. I would probably pass. I have waited a long time for this game and there are things coming up that I am just really excited for. ( I'll leave the names out)
It might be good to stress that, content isn't just more leve quests. I want more story quests, more side quests that pop out and give me some flavor to the world. Content also includes chocobos, airships, and world travel ideas that isn't giving everyone automatic teleport...
