Beta Test - starting soon?

You know, i don't really believe someone would believe they started phase 1 alpha in secret <_<

When you signed up for Alpha didn't you have to agree not to tell anyone if you got accepted? :P

yes, but i doubt SE itselves wouldn't start alpha officialy, even if phase 1 is jp only :|

Yoshi said on lftp live that those were employees. He wanted the ingame to look lively. It's not like the developers are home with their families at 20:00 these days.

For alpha, you logged on with your SQEX ID to apply to participate. Your forum account is bound to your SQEX ID. You post anything about the alpha, you're kicked from it. The agreement is typical and strict and within SE run forums, a poster can be tracked to their accounts, removed from alpha, excluded from beta.

Even if somehow that is true, you don't think in any way that someone from NA/EU found out and not post it on the forums?

Have to agree. 2chan and NicoNico would have a decent amount of info/pics/vids with peoples names blacked/blurred out. They havnt started alpha testing yet. We will know when it does.

The one issue I have with believing the alpha has already started is that when 1.0 was still in beta, and everyone was running around la noscea slightly afraid that the game we were playing was not in anything resembling a finished state and we had one month to launch, a good portion of the testers believed that there was some super secret final build that no one had seen yet.

And when the game launched in the same incredibly poor state it was in during beta... well... you saw what happened.

I'd really like to think that SE would stick to the plan of trying to get Alpha out of the way before the servers are brought down. But until they actually tell us something of value in regards to testing... I'm going to be cautiously optimistic, but maybe a little jaded.

It should be if they are making the last day worth playing November 1st. Knowing SE...probably not. Oh well I am too busy to play anyway at the moment. ._.
