Easy fix would be to remove 91-92% of all gil instead of 90% (9/10th). That would fix it better in 2.0.

If they wanted to stop it they should of stopped it right when they knew it existed. They nerfed it once already but now they nerfing it a 2nd time and adjusting npc prices.
Its because they are afraid to take directly away from the player. This is bad.
They need to fix the whole mess each time the first time, quickly and efficently.
TOO MUCH GIL IN MARKETS?! BOOM and kick drop the dawn drop price, roll back the seals and sells first day.
Now that its been a week, its just a mess.
They need test servers like WoW (I just said it, everyone freak out now :D), those have helped catch a lot of bugs actually - its a good idea. Gives dev's a good feedback loop and stops a lot of exploits.
Even if it WAS something that they knew absolutely nothing about (i'm sure they knew the first day), I see nothing wrong with it. Let people have fun for the last few weeks and get pimped out gear. Most players will burn through their gil and be broke again soon anyway before 2.0 and the economy can stabilize itself in time after 2.0 launches.
aren't they creating a test server when the reboot occurs?
As 1.0 players we should only be rewarded so much otherwise its going to be retarded for new players.
Why you so rich? We'll because I sold potions for 20 hours. 1.0 only
Why your items so strong? Because I sold potions for 20 hours, and use the rest to get 400K worth of GC items. 1.0 only
Why your chocobo so cool, your payment fee so low, your gear impossible to get. 1.0 only
We dont need to be rewarded so much, it wont look good to new players anyways. I want a thriving market - part of that requires a shit ton of people. As it is I've memorized most of the retainers that I buy or sell from - because no one else is doing it.
