Good to know! Now I don't feel bad for selling the very few +2/+3 I had!

Even if some people have a lot of gil and they increase the value of some items, the new players will also be able to sell these items higher. Everything should even out, especially with processes like relics' double meld which decreases gil from the richer and allow the poorer to spiritbond/farm and make a lot of gil.

Only regrettable thing is the ridiculous amount of gil we got from leves last year.

It's not a "completely dumb thought" because the amount of people joining ARR will have 0 gil compared to the small playerbase returning that'll have x amount -- This is likely why they want new players on a fresh server because current players has management issues as is.
