They've done a great job at making it feel pointless to look at new items being added and get excited about them.

When they said "more rewards" what they really meant was "we moved the same amount of rewards away from casual players and moved them to advanced for people to sell on the AH for 20+ mil." GOOD JOB SE
I wonder how much of the lack of the mount is because the obvious Flying Carpet mount idea was already put in the Mogstation, and making any alternatives cheapens it's worth.
What actually annoys me the most, the more I think about it, is that it's not even a unique facewear. If it was a veil or anything thematically fitting, sure, but they took a crafted item that goes for like... 4-10k and slapped it on as facewear and call it "a new reward." honestly it's just insulting.
Sorry guys. The real rewards are at FFXIV Store! You doing Criteron won't bring us money.
Perhaps, they should make store items that you have to buy with real money but first you have to farm permits to buy the item.
Once again, Square shows that they don't care about casual players by locking both mounts behind harder content.
Variant dungeons are my favorite content, and they managed to screw it up too.
I'm extremely disappointed.
Also no interest at all in a sleeping mask, what the heck?
Phenomenally lazy job, the sheer brazenness of it, you have my respect SE.
