A popup telling me to do the content or "too bad" is in no way an improvement.
Of course, it wouldn't effect you so it's "Fair" and "For the best".

The game isn't being made just for you, you know? Them implementing something like this literally wouldn't force you to do anything (unlike them making CT mandatory), i don't understand what the problem is?
So why do your preferred relationship dynamics(Established affinity) with NPCs -effect my MSQ, where I don't know who the devil they are- matter more than just aiming to keep the raid nonny self-contained?
To me, self-contained stories and NPCs seems significantly more ideal. With the nods and winks for those in the know, of course. I love those adaptive little moments. <3
Except those moments don't happen. We've known Unukalhai since 3.0 and Cylva/Cyella since 5.0, their ShB story ended with them deciding to work together to restore their home, and their involvement in the actual storyline that started the restoration of their home and accelerated the restoration of their current residence was a handful of lines from them and Beq-Lugg that would you would only know about if you hunted them down in the Crystarium.
still think they should do this tbh, sorry
I don't see the issue with making the Crystal Tower mandatory in the game. It's a very important part of the game's lore. Without knowing about what it is and what happens in there, you have no idea what it's doing in Shadowbringers.
you overestimate people's investment and/or curiosity...
