Not every single mechanic needs to be reduced. Two glowing orbs in a hand is not an example of the constant rave that people are talking about. The comically stupid light shows for an unavoidable AOE are a great example of it. There's nothing you can do, no place you can stand. You are going to get hit by it, there's no need to flashbang everyone's eyeballs if it's causing people hardship.
