The issue isn't here. The issue is that we already had modern glams way back at least since ShB, so by the time of DT people are already fed of them, myself included.

While it's true that there should be glamours to reflect the locations, there's still consequently an imbalance of "outfits for Solution Nine" vs outfits for other important locations we've visited.
Thavnair was the similar important location for Endwalker, but its entire population has to make do with the original pair of Thavnairian sets, one-and-a-half Palaka designs and three outfits commandeered from other cultures – one of them being specifically an Ala Mhigan design that already did double duty in Ahm Areng.
The Star Velvet vaguely tribal robes does multi-duty as Xaela, Night's Blessed, Thavnairian and Tonawawta traditional clothing.
Culture after culture gets represented with repurposed outfits sourced from things that are already in the game, and that pool of options is even narrower because so much of the glamour that comes out for players is modern and unsuitable.
So yes it is frustrating to see even more modern glamour added "because of Solution Nine" rather than alternating between giving us cool things for all of the cultures and setting up resources for the ones yet to come.
Remember we got the casual PVP outfits in 6.X and then after that we learned S9 was coming, and it was clear that those glamours were set up early to be used as NPC gear and give S9's residents a variety of outfits? Why aren't they doing that again? Why give us even more S9 gear just as we're leaving it and there are no more new NPCs in need of themed outfits?
There's also limited variety in the modern sets. There are a few more unique ones this time at least, but we're also getting baggy shorts and hoodies again.
Stormblood might have been "all Eastern-themed" but it was varied styles.
For the devs who can't fathom elegance and beauty.

I think Alexandria and the entire cyberpunk aesthetic doesn't fit into the game, tbh. We had sci-fi tech with the Garleans and places like Azys Llla (which is easily the most hideous zone in the game), this doesn't fit either vibe. It's the same issue I had with the NieR stuff. I think most of the "modern" casual clothing is ugly and the worst part about it is that it's incredibly common. If I go to a major city, I see everyone wearing it. Takes me out of the setting. But hey, seems like a lot of people like it, so...whatever.
