Na Not going to change me to make others feel comfortable :) its fine with my two besties which is why I'd be fine if it was 4man content so I could get them on and maybe virtually kidnap someone similar to us for it lol
If crafting or buying a set of gear is too much effort, you aren't making it through a savage tier on content.
1. First few turns are typically previous tomestone and savage tier requirements, it is only really the third and 4th tier where it is direct on crafted, and typically a newer player is not going to blitz through an entire savage tier before crafted becomes affordable. Usually takes 1-2 days before competition kicks in and then gear becomes seriously cheap.
2. Being overwhelmed by terminology is very quickly amended by going to communities such as Balance, or looking at the name on YouTube. There are always going to be times where the ship has sailed. If a new player starts mid-tier, boom, conclude ship has sailed.
3. There are plenty of avenues for making Gil in this game, and if a game that throws too much Gil at you is too much effort then I think some re-evaluation is needed on player expectancy.
4. Players just need to learn the art of bartering. Plenty of crafters out there will charge pennies for the gear provided you come with Tomestones, which is typically the most expensive part of crafting the gear in the first place.
5. Crafters haven't ruined anything. Crafting was already nerfed into the ground with Stormblood. Prior to that the price you now fetch for a full set, would barely have gotten you half the set back then.
6. I don't see why crafted should be further decimated, just because there are some people who feel so legitimately entitled that they should be doing the second-hardest content in the game with barely any investment whatsoever. Raiders don't like it when things get nerfed or decimated into the ground, so why should everyone else be OK with it?
If you don't want socialization then just PF the tier. Did that on main and none of my progs required voice. Just, you know, you have to be able to be accountable for errors if you make them repeatedly so you'll still probably have to have some kind of bare minimum communication to acknowledge you understand what you're doing wrong.
I mean, I personally don’t like using stuff voice chat stuff to communicate.
But of all the reasons I don’t raid I can’t say that’s one of them, or at least it’s at the very bottom of the list. If I wanted to that badly I could just make my own ‘NO VOICE REQUIRED’ savage PF lol. I mean you can kinda impose whatever rules you want when you’re the party leader lol (Tyranny wins?) though whether people actually join is another matter…
But still, depending on servers etc I don’t imagine it’d be that hard to find 7 randos who also don’t want use voice programs.
Every rando is just a friend you haven’t meowdied yet?
Obvious joke flew over your head.
If getting crafted gear is too high of an entry for you, then its just simply a working filter if you say "chance to raid week one".
