Nah, just make it a week or less at that point. I'd be pretty pissed if I dedicated 3m of my life to a game and had all that wiped just because other people decided to be petty, especially considering how slow Square support is. Bots will just be continuously making new accounts anyway so no real reason to target people with months under their belt.

I can assure you, as I experienced when my ex got hit with an RMT based suspension, they'll go after your account even if the encounter happened months prior if there's evidence of it happening (odds are the person he bought from got caught and they went after their previous trades or he tripped a sensor with the trade itself and the backlog finally got caught up to him).

Very often. I know already 7 people who got their Discord accounts stolen due some very primitve phishing attempts. I did not imagine, that it is possible, that someone falls into that. But it happens. :/

I've heard of at least 3 happening in the past week just on Discord. It happens regularly on 14 if we look at how many people were falling for the "gil giveaway" scams lol.

Dunno how it happens either but people are just gullible I guess.

Honestly... They need to fundamentally change their economy system to stop it. Guild wars 2 has no gold seller because the game is set up in a way that gold seller can't make any money. In that game, you can buy gem to purchase cash shop item. But the gold you earned from playing can be converted to gem. gem can also be converted to gold. And exchange ratio is constantly updated.... So anet stopped gold seller by letting people buy gold from them.

Yeah, changing a text file to capture new strings is super hard, and it's so much easier to create a new account and register a new domain. Some of you are insufferable.

That would be nice. In the meantime, this would be a great stopgap mechanism to reduce the burden from the player having to constantly report and blacklist RMTs.

No, I work on complex massive systems that involve artificial intelligence.

As far as updating the regex: you get the change tested and reviewed before it's deployed, same as any other change. This isn't rocket surgery.
