I'm sorry the thread took this turn. I really appreciate your sentiments in your OP. The spirit of the letter forest is one of kindness and gratitude. The lazy, mean-spirited, and flippant replies from some are just appalling to me. In the past I tried to extend olive branches to such people, but I really cannot any longer. Maybe one day they will mature and reflect on their terrible behavior, but until then I just can't give them a modicum of respect.

Of course the game isn't perfect, nothing will ever be, even though we strive for things to be so. I'm sure there are things the devs would like to fix about the game too. Since this thread is to thank them about the things we do like, and the work they have put in to create this world it makes sense to focus on those things in this thread not on the things that could be better.

Dear Devs,

Thanks for the good times. While I am no longer as excited to log in to this game and all the people I know slowly quit it's been a good run. Maybe one day the fire will be rekindled but in case it's not then the memories will at least be good enough for me. Best of luck.

Perhaps one day the realm will need old fashioned warriors of light to surmount meaningful challenges where death and despair are real possibilities, harrowing journeys and arduous tasks call for heroes to draw their swords once more from their slumber. But in case and all likelihood that day never comes and the game remains a casual visual novel then those stories were at least told and remembered.

Every now and then I roam the lands by foot and wonder what is, what was, and what could be.

Once upon a time, in a world far far away, there lived a Kitten named Zephyr with ears of the Lynx and a fur and heart like gentle snow. Some players will always be upset about a game. That's the nature of humans. However, the majority are just fine with the game, otherwise they game would not exist anymore.

If this is the way you feel then maybe the thread should be titled "A letter forest for the devs about things I want to hear". I understand you want to see positive things of course but silencing, shaming and accusing others of wrong think isn't any better than posting negative feedback to begin with.

This is why people feel "well meaning" players are disingenuous on this game, because they will resort to insults and the same toxicity they accuse others of brandishing, and yet they somehow think that's okay because they are doing it to defend their point of view.
